‘Star Tours’: New Adventure to be Added to Disneyland as Part of Season of the Force

The first of several new Star Tours experiences are set to arrive in Disneyland the first half of next year as part of the annual Season of the Force event.

Earlier this year at Star Wars Celebration Europe, it was confirmed that additional Star Wars experiences will be coming to the Star Tours ride over the next few years, starting in 2024. These new experiences are expected to be tied to characters and locations from shows and movies made after 2019, meaning that fans should not presently expect Lucasfilm to revisit the likes of Bespin, Mustafar, Takodana, or Scarif as part of future expansions.

Today, it has been revealed by the official Star Wars website that the newest adventure will be coming to the Disneyland version of Star Tours ride as part of the Season of the Force event, which runs from April 5 to June 2. In keeping with the promise that these new attractions will be tied to the new projects that Lucasfilm develop, it is speculated that this first new adventure may be tied to the likes of shows such as The Mandalorian or Ahsoka, although there is no word on what the new attraction will be at this time.

As it stands, it is not clear when these new adventures will be added to the Star Tours attractions in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney World, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disneyland. Other events tied to Disneyland’s Season of the Force include the retheming of the Space Mountain attraction into Hyperspace Mountain (which adds X-wings, TIE fighters, and the iconic sounds and music of Star Wars to the indoor rollercoaster), along with “specially themed food and beverage, merchandise, and more” at the Galaxy’s Edge park expansion.

The new adventure will be added to Star Tours at Disneyland on April 5, with the attraction being added to other Disney parks with the ride at an unspecified point in the future. Current locales that Star Tours travelers can visit include Tatooine, Hoth, Coruscant, Naboo, Geonosis (and the under-construction Death Star), Kashyyyk, Jakku, Crait, Kef Bir, and Exegol, with the ride going through a series of set paths, one set dedicated to the six original trilogy and prequel trilogy planets, and another set to the four sequel trilogy planets, selected in a randomized order with randomized events in order to ensure that only the most dedicated riders will experience the exact same path more than once.
