Head Writer and Executive Producer on ‘The Bad Batch,’ Jennifer Corbett, Signals Progress for Post-Production of Season 3

After months of nothing but crickets on The Bad Batch season 3 following the announcement at Star Wars Celebration, we finally received a small update via executive producer and head writer on the show, Jennifer Corbett. Posted to X late Friday night is an image of Corbett standing next to supervising director, Brad Rau, sound designer, David Collins, and one other person who is also (presumably) on the The Bad Batch team. They’re all pictured celebrating the “final mix session” for The Bad Batch season 3. Check it out:

While this may only be a small crumb of news, it’s a refreshing update after months of radio silence. The last update we received was in late June when Michelle Ang (Omega) posted a picture of a crew gift, which typically means that production has wrapped. Now that the sound mixing is final, it’s possible that The Bad Batch season 3 is heading into the finishing stages.

As exciting as that is, I won’t get my hopes up for any official date announcements just yet as the dust from the Disney post-strike schedule shuffle has yet to clear. Moreover, and as much as it pains me, the animated shows tend to be lower priority on the schedule and are first to get moved around or pushed back, as happened with The Bad Batch season 2…multiple times!

Alas I won’t leave us on that negative note, we too should cheers the final mix session and the promise of progress. The Bad Batch season 3 is certainly shaping up for a 2024 release, which is just around the corner.
