‘Star Wars: The High Republic’ Phase 1 Omnibus Coming From Marvel

A new omnibus has been announced — it will collect all Marvel comics from Phase 1 of the High Republic publishing initiative. The news comes courtesy of Near Mint Condition (hat tip Star Wars Splash Page); the collection will hit shelves in October 2023, right before Phase 3 begins.

The “Season One” omnibus (as it is being referred to) will contain the following series:

  • Star Wars: The High Republic (2021) #1-15 by Cavan Scott
  • Star Wars: The High Republic – Trail of Shadows #1-5 by Daniel José Older
  • Star Wars: The High Republic – Eye of the Storm #1-2 by Charles Soule

The main cover for the omnibus will be based on Phil Noto’s cover for The High Republic #15, which sees Keeve Trennis, Sskeer, and Avar Kriss lightsabers ablaze as Starlight Beacon falls. Ario Anindito’s variant for The High Republic #1 will serve as a variant cover for the omnibus. You can see both below as a reminder.

The omnibus will be released in October, briefly before the stories inside the collection pick back up in November.

Before we go, and in case you missed it, the entirety of IDW’s The High Republic Adventures is getting collected inside its own omnibus from Dark Horse. Everything in this tome includes:

  • Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures #1-13 by Daniel José Older
  • Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Galactic Bake-Off Spectacular by Daniel José Older and Vita Ayala
  • Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Free Comic Book Day 2021 by Daniel José Older
  • Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Free Comic Book Day 2023 by Daniel José Older

In case you are wondering about 2023’s Free Comic Book Day issue, it is an epilogue of sorts to the events of The High Republic Adventures that will follow up on Lula. So if you can’t find the issue at your local comic shop during Free Comic Book Day on May 6, that issue will be collected here. Dark Horse’s Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures — The Complete Phase 1 will be released on August 15 and is available for pre-order now.
