‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Adaptation Coming From Marvel

Marvel is returning to Din Djarin and Grogu’s adventures. The new comics will be released in an eight-issue series and follow the same format as the season 1 comics, with one issue covering each episode from The Mandalorian season 2.

The series adaptation of the second season will begin with Chapter 9: The Marshall. This episode in The Mandalorian introduced audiences to a character that would become one of Din Djarin’s greatest allies: Cobb Vanth, portrayed by actor Timothy Olyphant.

The creative duo behind the comics, Rodney Barnes and Georges Jeanty, also return to work on the new series. Jeanty will be joined by artist Steven Cummings, who will be providing penciling to some of the comics in this series.

“Adapting The Mandalorian has been a pure treat… The series embodies all aspects of the Star Wars universe: the myth, the mystery, and spectacle that made me fall in love with it so long ago. It’s an honor to be part of this project!”

Steven Cummings was equally as excited to be part of the creative process:

“I am thrilled to be able to be part of the world of The Mandalorian and get to draw some of his adventures. The Lone Wolf and Cub via the Old West vibe of the show has me excited to pick up my pencil every day and dive in.”
