SWNN Interview: Hasbro ‘Bring Home the Galaxy’ Roundtable With Chris Reiff and Jing Houle

We recently attended a roundtable discussion with Chris Reiff and Jing Houle, from Hasbro, to discuss their “Bring Home the Galaxy” initiative. Our own Brian Miller represented the site and, during his conversation with the two of them, got the chance to ask a few questions regarding the Selfie Series for HasLab, Luke’s costume from his Mandalorian figure, and more.

These are the five questions that we asked. You can check out their answers in the video below:

01. We at SWNN are big fans of the design of Tognaths. We first saw Benthic and Edrio “Two Tubes” in Rogue One, and also in Andor. Hasbro did release a 3.75-inch figure, but are you planning to release a larger scale figure with these cool-looking aliens, especially after we saw Benthic “Two Tubes” in Andor?

02. Would it be possible to go back to having figures out in time for the start of a new series? While we know that supply chain issues haven’t completely gone away in recent years, Hasbro’s Marvel Legends don’t seem to have any problems getting the figures on shelves before the movies, while the Andor figures won’t be out until spring.

03. Is Luke’s costume in The Mandalorian wrong? In the series he wears a black robe in the style of the prequels, but the figure is in his costume from Return of the Jedi. The cape is correct, but the robe underneath seems wrong.

04. When you guys introduced the Selfie Series for HasLab there were several bodies for people to choose from for their character, but one of them was very obviously missing: the Jedi Knight. When are you guys going to allow everybody to turn themselves into a Jedi Knight, and when are you going to get some options for people with some awesome beards?

He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
