Possible Product Code Names For The Han Solo Movie Revealed?

The still-untitled Han Solo Star Wars spin-off is a few months away, so some might be wondering when we’ll be seeing merchandise. If this report is accurate, then toys are going to start popping up soon…

Yakface has uncovered a list of coded products for the 12″ Hero Series Figures, one of which seems to be a Praetorian Guard and the other two are mysteriously coded:

  • 630509613052/55589145 VESTA DRIVER (???)
  • 630509613069/55589147 VICTOR 1 PR (Praetorian Guard?)
  • 630509613076/55589148 ZEUS (???)

They have since speculated that, since Zeus and Vesta are respectively Greek and Roman deities, the Han Solo movie’s merchandise may possibly be named after the Gods of that pantheon. In any case, if the products are nearly ready to the point where they’re actually coding them, then it can be presumed that they’re not going to budge from the already-planned Memorial Day Weekend release window.

At this point, they’d be better of if this went straight-to-DVD….

Totally agree, I mean they’ve got an inexperienced hack director, unproven screenwriters, amateur actors, plus all the footage we’ve seen and the trailers are just awful. Disney and Lucasfilm just don’t know how to make a movie. Kathleen Kennedy? What’s she ever produced that’s worth anything? Worst franchise ever.

It was sarcasm. There hasn’t even been a trailer yet.

Straight-to-DVD’s can be good as well, that wasn’t my point. I made this suggestion because the marketing campaign is terrible – there is none. We don’t even know the name of the movie.

It’s too early for a marketing campaign. At the moment the attention is rightly on The Last Jedi. If they start promoting Han Solo now it’ll muddy those waters. Han Solo has 2018 to occupy that spotlight.

          HAHAHAHA.

This is laughable. Disney knows more about how to market than any of us do.

They proved that with TFA and Rogue One.

There are certain things you do, at certain points and we aren’t there yet.

They aren’t dropping trailers for Avengers either and it’s out in May. Because you don’t do that yet.

To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if they waited for a Christmas 2018 release. There is no way to know how much of the movie has been completed. Keep in mind most of what you see on camera is completed in post production with special effects and scoring added after editing, post production needs time. We are only 7ish months away from the release of this movie. TLJ had a teaser released in April, a full 10+ months prior to the release date. This movie hasn’t even finished filming yet and they still expect to release it on time to Star Wars standards. I have no problem waiting for a quality product vs. a rush job just to meet a deadline.

Just got a wrap on filming

I guess my comment was a few minutes early. They had a wrap party but it’s not a true wrap…. Still several weeks of filming to do. I suspect it’s mostly 2nd unit stuff and maybe a few pick ups.

I hope the title at least drops soon
