I’d rather we move away from the Skywalkers. The galaxy is so massive, and there’s so much to explore. The more that Lucasfilm can expand on the universe and show how large it is, the better imo.

I like the skywalker stories idea, but would rather Ray be a Kenobi

I’m hoping Rey is either a Kenobi or unrelated to characters from the original trilogy. Either way, a break from the Skywalker story would be welcome.

I’d love to see more side-stories that flesh out the universe, but I’d really like the numbered sequels to continue along the Skywalker family’s story.

Depending on how the stories continue, I would like to see more saga movies, but also many more spin-offs to expand the universe.

I vote for a new direction. Bring the Skywalker name back to it in 40 years when no one expects it.

I think after Episode IX the movies shouldn’t focus on the Skywalker family as the forefront of it’s story. However, they shouldn’t go on without having the Skywalkers in the back of the story’s mind if that makes any sense.

The episodic saga is about the Skywalker family, and it should remain that way.

I’m OK with it branching out. But it will take some time to build the weight the Skywalker name carries with another name…

It really depends on where things leave off in 9. If there are generations that continue, i wouldnt be opposed to those stories. I would like some linkages to the original main characters in some way

    Always Skywalker.

Personally, I would like for the Skywalker saga come to a definite close, because I can’t imagine them ever doing something new that would live up to what we already have and what the end of the ST will be. I’d really like to see more standalones than trilogies. I’m holding onto hope here for The Siege of Mandalore arc to be adapted to film.

And thanks for the giveaway. These Tikis are the coolest.

Would be nice to have a Skywalker continue….. but the question is….. will there be anymore Skywalkers after IX? If Rey isn’t a Skywalker, and if Kylo dies……

  • April 10, 2017 at 9:44 pm
    Permalink

It should continue as the skywalker family but have a skywalker female be a jedi or a dark force user

  • April 10, 2017 at 9:54 pm
    Permalink

I’d like it to stay Skywalker focused – but with more Skywalkers (including the Kylo in this). It would be cool to see a “division in the family” with various family members following different paths – light, dark, grey, other and how that influences the galaxy.

  • April 10, 2017 at 10:58 pm

I think that this should be the end of the Skywalker Saga, or rather the mainline trilogies. Some things should be allowed to be left alone. I love what they did wiht TFA, and I’m confident and excited for the whole current trilogy, I just think it’s better to explore all of the other possibilities and use the Skywalkers sparingly.

The Skywalker Saga is too restrictive in my opinion. Everyone has to be everyone else’s son/daughter. Let’s open things up to everyone.

It think the main saga films should always chronicle the Skywalker family.

  • April 11, 2017 at 2:29 am
    Permalink

Honestly, I think the skywalker saga should always continue, but maybe move away from family storylines. Either way even if they go through with a completely new saga, there are so many storylines that could be chronicled, Disney is good for years to come lol!

  • April 11, 2017 at 2:58 am

I honestly think it depends on where Episode IX leaves us, but I’m always down for more Skywalker saga as long as the stories are fresh. However, I think the expansion into other parts of the galaxy is a better idea.

  • April 11, 2017 at 3:37 am

I think the series should move on from Luke after Episode IX. It just wouldn’t be the same without Han or Leia

  • April 11, 2017 at 4:26 am
    Permalink

I think we should not shy away from newer main characters. There is room for new heroes, in my opinion. 🙂

  • April 11, 2017 at 5:14 am
    Permalink

I am open to new characters taking on the primary roles in Episodes IX+, as long as the skywalker family saga is wrapped up well. It might be fun to see the skywalker saga story introduced a hundred years later as a sort of legend. So still tangentially related but not the primary focus.

  • April 11, 2017 at 5:55 am
    Permalink

They should continue the Skywalker saga after Episode IX, but not for a good 5 to 10 years later. However, in the meantime, they should do separate trilogies about other characters.

Unless VII and IX are as good as the OT and R1 then I say no to continue to beat a dead horse into the ground.

  • April 11, 2017 at 9:26 am

I think depending on how Episode 9 ends, they should move away from the Skywalker story and focus on the newer characters such as Rey, Finn and Poe.

  • April 11, 2017 at 10:03 am
    Permalink

I believe its too early to make that call. I’d really have to see how the ST unfolds. After watching 8 i could probably make a decision on whether they should wrap on the skywalkers with 9 or keep going.

  • April 11, 2017 at 3:58 pm
    Permalink

I think they should continue on with the Skywalker saga, but only after a few years have passed since the current trilogy.

I think we need time to digest the current trilogy, and tell new stories around that era. I’m all for Star Wars 100% of the time, but I feel that one of the special things about the trilogies though is that few years intermission between them.

Since I liked Rogue One more than Ep7, I’m going to say they focus on stand alone films for now instead of doing another saga. There’s so much of the Star Wars universe they can focus on, going all the way back to the Old Republic and older sith lords. There’s so much they can do other than another saga.

  • April 11, 2017 at 5:19 pm
    Permalink

I wouldn’t mind if they moved away from the Skywalkers as long as they tell good Star Wars stories.

  • April 11, 2017 at 5:49 pm

Keep the Skywalker saga going but hold off on Episode X for at least a couple of decades.

  • April 11, 2017 at 6:56 pm

I think the Skywalker saga should end at 9. I’d be happy with stand-alone movies or some Bounty Hunter chronicles.

  • April 11, 2017 at 9:05 pm
    Permalink

Continue the Skywalker Saga, but also continue to weave in new families.

  • April 11, 2017 at 10:18 pm
    Permalink

I think the saga films should always have some connection to the Skywalker family, even if it is not immediately evident.

  • April 11, 2017 at 10:25 pm
    Permalink

I think they should continue the skywalker story threw the next trilogy of films because it will always be a connection threw the movies for the new generation of fans and older ones as well.

I think it would be great if they continued the Skywalker saga beyond Episode IX. I am a big fan of legacies, and there is no greater legacy in science fiction fantasy than that that of the Skywalker family. It would be a fantastic testament to have LFL continue the Skywalker saga through to a new generation.

If the films go one past XI, I would prefer a pre-prequel during the Old Republic era. Going too far int the future, I don’t know, just feels like too much of the same thing. I don’t think the Skywalkers need to be in films past XI, but I do think there should always be character connections of some kind throughout the films.

Move away for sure from the Skywalker series, there are so many ways to extend into new stories with keep hints what we’ve seen already. The video game KOTOR did that perfectly and setup a great expansive story line!

To understand the full force of Star Wars, go to the very beginning. I am Robin Lee from Maine and I filmed the senseless demise of the iconic estate art studio of American, mega pop culture artist Maxfield Parrish. George Lucas said that it was the art work of Maxfield Parrish that “directly’ inspired the feel and look of his Star Wars films, The Lucas Effect, page 282. I have been working on this epic project for many years and I have uncovered important discoveries. * I truly believe that Star Wars began in that art studio of Maxfield Parrish around 1904-1905. My theories and research have provided me with information so powerful and Lucas will showcase his Maxfield Parrish collection in his new museum, I am in high hopes that he will see this story, it has merit. Everything Star Wars is vital for all. Thank you for listening, Robin Lee, The Maxfield Parrish Motif || The force does exist.
