Updated With Winners! SWNN Giveaway –Win 1 of 2 Jeffrey Brown Deluxe Boxed Sets from Chronicle Books

Our friends at Chronicle Books are partnering with us to offer two of our readers the opportunity to win one of two Deluxe Boxed sets from author and illustrator Jeffrey Brown, two-time Eisner Award winner and the creator of the four-time best-selling Star Wars™ series that includes Darth Vader™ and Son, Vader’s™ Little Princess, Goodnight Darth Vader™, and Darth Vader™ and Friends.

I recently received a copy of the Darth Vader™ and Family Coloring Book from Chronicle Books, and my two boys (2 and 8), myself (and even my wife) have had a blast with it. As we flip through the colorless pages from author and illustrator Jeffrey Brown, we each pick a page and sit around the dinner table coloring our favorite Star Wars™ characters. This book is a new addition to Brown’s Darth Vader™ series and provides creative coloring adventure fun for Jedi masters and young Padawan alike.

Brown’s reimagining of the Star Wars™ universe has delighted adult fans and young Jedi all around the galaxy, and now fans can interact with young Luke and Leia and their patient father Vader in the Darth Vader™ and Family Coloring Book. This book is marketed as an adult coloring book, but is really great fun for the whole family.

It features careful translation of artwork from the best-selling Darth Vader™ and Son series to a large-format collection on crisp white paper, plus nine new images to color. Scenes are presented on one side of the page with a decorative back page for versatility. Check this book out and spend a little quality time with the family!

Two readers will get the opportunity to select either the Darth Vader™ and Son / Vader’s™ Little Princess Deluxe Boxed Set or the Goodnight Darth Vader™ / Darth Vader™ and Friends Deluxe Boxed Set, both valued at $35.

Be sure to enter for your chance to win by telling us in the comments below, how you and your family celebrate Star Wars™ together.

We will announce the two winners on Thursday.

Update!

Our two winners have been selected. They are…

My 5yr old niece planned to be Rey for Halloween and told me i needed to be Kylo Ren. So she asked me to grow my hair out and she even didn’t like the cheap Kylo mask, so i had to buy the Black Series helmet lol (thankfully i had some TRU coupons and did some price matching to get a great deal on it) We had a blast on Halloween. We read the “Before the Awakening” Book together and she really enjoyed that. Regardless of winning one or not, these look like something she would absolutely enjoy. Thanks for the information!

Well nothing beats a good old fashioned lightsaber fight, with lightsabers made of pipe lagging for the kids. The boy is 6 and highly skilled, but the cuteness of a 19 month girl swishing her’s around with sound effects tops it all. The best of Star Wars days with the family!!

EVERY year we have a Star Wars Marathon! We watch every single film. Not in order of when they came out. But in order of story line. You know what I mean. We get Popeye’s and Pizza Hut and I make tons of coffee… It’s tradition that started a few years ago. It’s life…. Love it! XOXO

I like to break out my classic Kenner figures (they’re all mutilated and cut up) and show my nieces and nephews how I used to play with them growing up in the late 70s. Also have the Kenner TIE fighter and X-wing vehicles…also break out my classic Battle of Hoth play sets..these old toys are a blast to play with the kids when watching the movies!

Every year on May the 4th my family gets together and marathons all the films. We’ve been marathoning the movies since Revenge of the Sith came out and many of my favorite childhood memories are centered around this time with my family. I can’t wait to watch all eight films in a row this year, it’s going to be a challenge, but knowing my family it will only make watching them more fun.

My sons are 5 and 2. The 2 yr old has not seen any of the films yet. My 5 yr old is just getting into the franchise, having only seen A New Hope so far. I actually avoid reading some pages of the Jeff Brown books because I do not want to give away any of the movies secrets. When we have the time this summer, I plan on watching the rest of the films with him before anyone at school blurts out something and spoils anything. He does enjoy playing with the Star Wars Lego though.

Terrible answer but my family are not really fans per se. However I have seen all the films with them on opening weekend. They just don’t remember them by the time the next one is out. lol.

In 1977 my father took me to see “Star Wars” in our local cinema, i remember coming out of the theatre, 6 years old, feeling on top of the world, he bought me all the toys, the figures, ships and anything else with Star Wars printed on it.

In 1997 i took my own son who was 4 at the time to see the Special Editions in the same Cinema and sat in the same 2 seats me and my dad did many years before…and he was hooked, i then had to re-buy all the toys as my toys had long gone by then.

Unfortunately the Cinema is no longer there, but my Grandkids who are 5 & 3 watch all the movies with me now they have a lot of toys from their Uncle and of course i have bought them new toys too (for some reason they prefer the dark side 🙂

My father is no longer with us but the memory of that first viewing will live with me forever and Star Wars is not just a “silly space movie” to us, it is very much part of our family and holds a very special place in our hearts.

I started watching Star Wars several weeks before The Force Awakens came out, me and my family watched the whole saga together. My favorite memory of course is going to the premiere of episode 7 here in Bulgaria with my family , it was spectacular. Ever since then I have been watching and reading everything there is about the saga. I’m loving it !!

My family is just beginning their Star Wars adventures. My daughters are still a little young for the movies and shows but they already play with the original Star Wars action figures I had when I was a kid and know a lot of their names. My plans are in inaugurate them and my wife at the same time via the original trilogy in few years.

My family has been viewing Star Wars since it began. My Dad first viewed the film when he was 12 and has told me he was shocked at the technology, said people went to the theater multiple times. I then became a fan and as a young kid viewed the prequels in the theaters. Now years later i take my nephews and nieces to view the sequel trilogy. Star Wars will forever be a part of my life!

One way me and my wife celebrate star wars is simply by watching all of the movies leading up to the release of which ever film is about to come out.

I have always loved Star Wars, and now my 7-year old son is crazy about Star Wars. He dresses up in Star Wars costumes for Halloween, has seen numerous movies/DVDs, and we even went to Star Wars At the Beach last summer in Southern California! And, of course, there are the Legos and all that! We celebrate Star Wars by having every Star War item we can snatch up! Would love this!

I love seeing all these comments about how Star Wars is shared in the family. As an OT kid, I grew up during Star Wars’s initial theatrical run. I have two boys now: five and eleven, and it’s great to see them play in this world just as I did. While I’m more interested in collecting the vintage toys, watching the films, and playing tabletop Star Wars games, they love watching the animated shows and playing with Star Wars LEGO.

This summer, I’ll be setting up my vintage Star Wars ‘Command Tower’ swing set that was produced by Gym Dandy in 1984. They’re rare as unicorns and I scored a boxed, unused one several years ago. It’ll look great in my yard with these kids hiding in the tower and swinging on the Speeder Bike.
