UPDATE! Rogue One’s Saw Gerrera Headlines New Star Wars: Rebels Promo + New Clip
An all-new promo for the mid-season premiere of Star Wars: Rebels Season 3 has been officially released. The next episode will be a two part episode titled ‘Ghosts of Geonosis’, premiering on January 7. The trailer showcases one of the more interesting characters caught up in the epic struggle against the evil galactic Empire. Check it out!
‘Save the Rebellion, Save the Dream” – Saw Gerrera
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story introduced most of us to Saw Gerrera (played by Forest Whitaker), who actually made his debut in the original “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” TV series, fighting along side a very powerful young Jedi. Now, Disney XD will continue the back story of Saw as he attempts to take on the Empire using any and all means possible….
The crew returns to Geonosis in search of a missing rebel team sent to investigate suspicious activity there, and are surprised by what they find. After finding a missing rebel team member, the Ghost crew discovers another surprise on Geonosis, and work to conceal it from Imperial forces.

UPDATE!
And here’s a new clip from the next episode (via Star Wars Union):
They used the same unused dialogue for this trailer too. Interesting.
It’s going to be a double episode. So, both parts will be airing on Jan. 7th.
He looks a LOT younger than in Rogue One. Like, even in the flashback scene that’s set over a decade before Rebels.
Some of that can be attributed to Rebels’ animation style, of course, but I agree that it’s strange that Saw goes from that to THIS

in just two years.
They mention this in the Visual Guide but no specifics on what happened to his body which I hope this will cover. Would be cool if they have a 16 year old Jyn Erso as well but I doubt Felicity would do it.
He had already left her behind at this point I believe.
And even if she’s still there, they can always have someone else voice her.
Yeah, I keep thinking we are still 5 years away from ANH.
Well Jyn is 22 in Rogue One and Rebels takes place 2 years before it, so Jyn has already been separated from Saw for 2 years when rebels takes place.
I keep forgetting that Rebels happens in real time rather than over months like in TCW.
THE. DEATH. STAR.
