From Youtube:

In this clip from the Star Wars Rebels episode “Iron Squadron,” Grand Admiral Thrawn processes new intel on the Ghost and Iron Squadron, and commands an intriguing response.

The next clip was first posted on Disney XD’s Youtube channel a few days ago, but it was region locked. Now everyone can watch it thanks to Star Wars Universe:

I never blame Disney for things star wars, but it’s been since they took over that most of the things became region locked. This is simply unfair, not only US-star wars fans exist.

Is that the Outrider? I’m watching without audio right now.

It’s a YT-2400, but not the Outrider, per Filoni at Celebration, IIRC.

It’s cool seeing a rogue rebel cell like that. I wonder who the pilot is. Filoni confirmed it’s not the Outrider, right?

This may be true. I haven’t read Shadows in years. Like. 20. But I remember liking it and nothing in it happening that was really off putting. Except for the weird sexual overtones and the fact Xizor banged his droid.

But I didn’t remember disliking Dash. Oh well.

i still find it amusing that Xizor wanted to replace vader but he spent the whole book trying to get into leia’s pants. priorities man! 😉

I’d be distracted by 20 year old Carrie Fisher too.

Oh, I loved Shadows, too. I just think Dash’s character is basically a stand-in for Han. Kinda lazy writing in that regard.

Wait…Xizor was banging his droid? How did I miss that part?

It was like a one sentence reference. I just remember it forever because the group of friends I had in High School would buy a Star Wars book then pass it around. And when I had given it to one of my best friends to read he told me, “I was waiting the whole book for that guy to say he banged his droid.”

Oh so many things. A Han Solo rip off. he is lame and 90s as hell.

Don’t overuse him. I like him being a mostly behind the scenes guy.

i agree, but we’re like 8 episodes in and he hasn’t done anything of note yet. it feels like a bit a tease.

I guess my question to you would be what is considered “of note” With respect to S2, we got Vader in the Siege of Lothal first episode, but then didn’t get much more till later on but people seemed to be satisfied with that because they didn’t want too much Vader. I’d say they’re doing alright w/ sprinkling him here and there and slowly unveiling his master plan. Considering Thrawn isn’t a physical brawler as much as he is the tactician/mental fighter I’d imagine when “big” action takes place, it’s not him directly doing anything and more that his chess pieces start executing impressive take-downs of the rebel factions.
