I saw the final Rogue One trailer while watching Doctor Strange today – it looks AMAZING on the big screen. Less than 50 days to go now!

Where’s Dr. Strange playing already? (Thought it opened Nov. 4?)

He probably got into an advanced screening. Audience gauging, etc.

Australia. For some reason, we get a lot of movies a week earlier than the US?! And Star Wars is usually a day earlier. Not sure why, but certainly not complaining!

Is it as good as we’re hearing? (Advance word seems quite positive, and the visuals look stunning…)

I found the first half interesting but a little bit slow at times, like they were just going through the motions of an origin story (which they have to do, I guess). I thought Ant-Man handled those issues a little bit better, but Doctor Strange was a better movie overall.

I loved nearly all of the action scenes, and these really pick up in the 2nd half. Slightly less of a sense of fun, compared to previous Marvel installments, maybe?

I may need to watch it again – I was still excited about the Rogue One trailer for the first 10 minutes or so of the movie, and maybe I was wishing I was watching that!

Two post-credits scenes (I can’t believe that after 14 of these movies, ALL with post-credits scenes, people still walked out once the movie was over, only to come rushing back in when they heard the post-credits scene starting.)

Now that’s interesting! One of the best things I liked in Capt. ‘Murka Civil War was the ‘fast-track’ intros to new Spidey & Black Panther that they did, sans excruciating exposition (!)

Yeah, they definitely handled those well. Spidey is fair enough – most people have seen previous movies, etc, but Black Panther I’d never really heard of, and I got all the backstory I needed for that movie. No doubt there’ll be more in the solo movie though.

Let me know what you think of Doctor Strange when it comes out!

A bit off topic but I’m trying to get this off my mind. Is that a temporary set piece on that beach? :O I always thought it was supposed to be a crashed U-Wing. Loved the graphics for R1 so far but this is a bit sloppy 🙁 Can someone tell LF to fix it before they start printing it…please? 😉 http://imgur.com/a/3dCTf

It’s just a skeleton for pyrotechnics. It’ll be fully rendered in CGI.

Just finished the Ahsoka audio book this week – not bad. Eckstein’s narration isn’t as diverse as other voice talents who swap around accents / personae, etc. (she just narrated as herself, except when she was Ahsoka, when she would pipe up a bit). A few good cameos, especially towards the end; and the expanded lore on saber crystals was also of interest… B-
