New Poster For ‘The Mandalorian’ Showcases Characters From The First Five Chapters Of Season 2

The Mandalorian
The Mandalorian gets a brand new poster in time for its second season of the Disney+ series, showcasing the cast of Chapters 9 through 13 with three chapters left to go.

The new poster highlights the key players from the majority of the show’s second season, including Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant), the “Frog Lady” (Misty Rosas and Dee Bradley Baker), Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), Cara Dune (Gina Carano), Greef Karga (Carl Weathers), and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). Last but not least, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), the titular Mandalorian, and Grogu (portrayed by several puppeteers), also known as the Child, are featured twice – first in the poster’s center, and secondly in a smaller shot alongside the Razor Crest.

What’s more interesting than who’s on the poster is who’s not on the poster – namely, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), who had a cameo at the end of the season premiere and seems to have his role positioned in such a way that he’ll appear again before the season ends. There are still three chapters left in the season, and with a Boba Fett spin-off rumored to be in production, it seems likely that the OG Mandalorian (or rather, man wearing Mandalorian armor) is going to need to have a little more screen time before such a spin-off could be justified. Maybe the armored – or rather, formerly-armored – bounty hunter will get a chance to metaphorically (or possibly literally) suit up in Chapter 14? It looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Mandalorian is streaming exclusively on Disney+, with the first season completed and a second season in progress. A third season is currently being written by Jon Favreau and is in pre-production for a hopeful 2021 release window, while actor Giancarlo Esposito has indicated that there are plans for at least four seasons.
