The host will probably be Andi Gutierrez, now that Rebel Recon is on break. At least that is my guess. But, I cannot wait! 🙂

Guess what Leslie, your little reports don’t do anything. Go find something better to do with your time. Maybe build a church to worship George in.

Funny you say that I should “find something better to do with my time” yet you’re on this site nonstop 24/7. Do you even work? Do you even have friends and family to attend to during the rare times that you’re not on this site?

Keep it up with your shade-laced, disrespectful comments towards GL and you’ll find yourself banned from this site eventually (and that is the least; wouldn’t it be sad if your Disqus account got hacked by coincidence? 😉 lol).

I’m not the one reporting people whose opinions I don’t like or disagree with. You see, people have a right to have an opinion different from your own. I’m sorry that this is such a difficult concept for you to grasp. I’m sorry that your sensibilities are so fragile that you feel the need to shut down any opinion that you don’t agree with or like. My god, how thin skinned you are. People are allowed to criticize George as much as they want. I’m sorry that seems like blaspheming the sacred Creator as you call him. And you’re not here all the time yourself? Lol.

Well, look who the thin-skinned individual is now 😉

As for your “people are allowed to criticize GL” line: nope, that doesn’t hold water anymore, especially if one has been doing it for 11+ years now, as if something can be done to make you not feel like a child throwing a temper tantrum for not getting your way at first anymore (and more so now that it’s been 3+ years since selling Lucasfilm to Disney). Now it just looks obsessive, petty, sad and depressing when people continued to do so.

Right, I’m the childish one. Not the person who needs to go screaming to the mods like a whiny baby whenever they read something that upsets their delicate, overly-sensitive feelings, and can’t accept a difference of opinion because they obviously lack the ability to debate something intelligently or know they have no points to make in rebuttal. Let me guess – you’re a millennial, am I right? The only thing that’s sad is you trying to shut out everyone’s right to say whatever they feel. There is no statute of limitations on what is allowed to be discussed here, and you are not the arbiter of what is permissible to be discussed either. I can discuss whatever I choose to. No one is forcing you to read it. So I suggest you either find a new site to post to or learn how to ignore it, because I’m not going anywhere, and I will continue to post whatever I like.

Nah, not a fan of those guys. I’d rather have someone in Lucasfilm host this, not a group of individuals who like to act like they are the voice of all SW fans (but really don’t represent all SW fans at all to begin with).

If by John you mean John Campea, yeah, that guy is trash. Can’t stand Kristian either (nor their boss Goldberg). But yeah, that’s just my opinion about them.

The other two are ok (I actually don’t mind Tiffany).

IMO Tiffany is the worst of them all. She has zero opinion on most topics and when she does it’s just repeating what others have said. She is cut from the Olivia Munn I am just profiting off of nerd culture and not really into it sort of thing.

Ah, the fake geek girl type. I see. I’ll admit I don’t know much about her but that doesn’t surprise me.

At least Olivia Munn is trying to work on being involved with geek culture by actually being in a comic book movie. Guess Tiffany has a ways to go.

I don’t watch or listen to any of these stuff. I tried and I ended up not liking that Kristian guy the most but basically, all of them! If I want to listen and talk SW. I rather call you guys I agreed with here on Skype or something and we have our own SW conversation. However, on this OFFICIAL SW channel. I would tune in!

Why, because they don’t think everything SW is the greatest thing ever? Those guys are awesome but to each his own I guess.

I enjoy the show but I don’t like their lack of Legends knowledge. When they cannot remember the name of some quite important characters, and are completely oblivious to some major galactic events, it’s cringe worthy.

          • May 11, 2016 at 3:49 pm
            Permalink

Yeah, that’s one of the things that bother me. They come off as generic, pop culture casual fans instead of knowledgeable SW fans which is hypocritical of them considering they have a show called Jedi Council. Now I’m not expecting them to know every little tidbit about the Star Wars universe and the history of what’s been going on (especially on stuff that isn’t canon anymore), but if one is going to do a Star Wars-centric show, then they better know a majority of all the trivia that there is, and at the very least on all the movies and TV shows (and to make a concerted attempt on all the other canon material as well).

I agree. I hated when they called Cham Syndulla Cham Sudalla. If you’re going to claim Star Wars superfan status, please remember the names of some pretty basic characters.

Oh, NOWHERE near superfan status, that’s for sure. Even when they say the sentence “You’re a big Star Wars fan, tell us…” I roll my eyes like instantly.

Exactly. Even Rihanna tried to claim “Star Wars fan” status by wearing an ugly skirt with images from TPM printed on it. The fact that he wore a skirt from that movie proves that she’s doesn’t Star Wars.

I completely agree with you Leslie. It’s one thing for them to have personal opinions but it’s another thing for them to speak for all Star Wars fans, which is the vibe I get from watching their show during the few times that I’ve seen them.

I’m also bothered by the click-bait nature of their site as well as the format of their show. Seriously, they look like ESPN Sportscenter anchor wannabes, from the “studio” their show is filmed in to the way they look and talk.

The worst part about them is how they botched the Snoke “scoop” they allegedly had last November/Decemeber. To me, that really lowered their credibility.

I don’t think it’s fair to say they “act like they are the voice of all SW fans”. They have their opinions but they acknowledge that’s what they are and they discuss their own differences. Funnily enough the one I tend to agree with the most (John Campea) is also the one I like least as a host.

I’d far rather have a group of people who can be critical, disagree amongst themselves and can express opinions I disagree with than a Lucasfilm promo slot where everything is fantastic, awesome and the greatest thing to happen to Star Wars ever.

The host could be David Collins. He formerly hosted the Comlink, the weekly video talk show about Star Wars. That was a great, well-produced show. He does other things with Lucasfilm, like hosting a stage at Celebration, and performs other hosting duties for them.
