Star Wars Weekly Social Buzz

ScreenshotIn this week’s social buzz we have Ewan McGregor talking about the Prequel Trilogy, our first look at Ciena Ree from Claudia Gray’s Lost Stars, which games to expect at this year’s Celebration Europe, the latest from John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and of course Pablo Hidalgo…

The official Star Wars site revealed first official image of Ciena Ree from Lost Stars:

Also StarWars.com announced that “the best in Star Wars gaming is set to invade Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 in London this summer. Star Wars Battlefront, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Commander, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Star Wars: Force Collection will all be joining the mega-event, marking the highest volume of gaming content in Celebration history.”

One of our own Cantina members Star Dude made an interesting parallel between the Rebel Starfighter that was leaked from the Rogue One Visual Guide and the image that was released last year during the Rogue One panel at Clebration Anaheim. The image at the bottom is from the filming.

The guys from HitFix has a comment from Disney on the leaked Rogue One pages from The Official Visual Story Guide:

Representatives from Disney/Lucasfilm have reached out to HitFix to say the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story information is the product of an unauthorized leak and “A lot of the information listed isn’t even correct .” As such, we have removed the content.

Ewan McGregor on the Prequel Trilogy:

Mark Hamill has never seen a Star Wars movie at home:

Matt Martin from the LFL Story Group makes a funny comment on Bail Organa:

John Boyega received the Chopard award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Trophée Chopard is awarded by a jury of professionals to two young actors in order to recognize and encourage their career. It was founded in 2001 by Chopard and has since been presented every year during the Cannes Film Festival.

Till next time Cannes

So people complain about the lack of new things in TFA, then complain when a character in TFA turns out not to be a pre-existing character that we already knew about. Choose one or the other, people.

I used to be very envious of Pablo Hildalgo, but now that I see what he goes through on a daily basis, the man is a saint. I love Star Wars, but to be constantly bombarded with the same questions over and over again it’s crazy. I (jokingly) blame Kristian Harloff for the Plagus stuff. He obsessed over it on a very popular Star Wars YouTube show and fans took his word as truth and ran with it. Its always fun to share theories about something that we love but this particular one (along with Ezra or Rebels being apart of future saga films) needs to die out already.
