This week we have some new photos from the Episode VIII filming. Some revelations on Rogue One, a small update from J.W. Rinzler and the Making of The Force Awakens book, and more…

Rian Johnson shared 2 new images from the Episode VIII filming on his tumblr account announcing that they are halfway through the shoot:

Next is something really incredible. Our friend Krisitan Harloff from Collider Jedi Council has been immortalized in the upcoming novel Bloodline. Author Claudia Gray, who was recently interviewed by Harloff, named a planet from the Star Wars universe after Kristian – Harloff Minor. That’s right, now our buddy is officially Star Wars canon! Congrats! Truly amazing.

A BTS video from Ireland, which we continuously thought was the same as the one they released back in January. It’s a shorter cut of the video from January with 2 new brief shots of Mark and Daisy.

The guys from Jedi Bibliothek noticed that the upcoming book “The Making of Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was marked as cancelled on some sites. We contacted the legendary author J.W. Rinzler, who was supposed to work on that book for comment. Shortly after that he posted the following on Twitter:

And he sent us a similar reply:

Thanks for writing to me but as I mentioned in my Twitter feed I’m not really the spokesperson. Perhaps there is someone at Abrams or Lucasfilm you can ask as I no longer work at the latter company.

The “Making of…” books are such an important part of the Star Wars franchise. J.W. Rinzler together with George Lucas is the mastermind behind all six books from the episodes so far. We really hope that Mr. Rinzler will be involved with the one about The Force Awakens, but it appears that at least for now, this is not the case. Looking forward to find out more on this in the upcoming weeks.

Are you ready for May 4?

Mark Hamill was at the UK premiere of Captain America: Civil War.

This is just too cool:

More training from Daisy Ridley:

Also Ridley’s stunt double Chloe Bruce shares new impressive video:

From Pablo Hidalgo:

On Prequel Trilogy Producer Rick McCallum:

Probably Pablo’s 1000th comment on the Snoke is Plagueis theory:

In case someone still thinks that Snoke is in the Bacta tank from the Rogue One teaser:

On how Kylo knows Rey’s name:

On how evil is Kylo Ren 🙂

On debunking stuff:

Stay tuned for more next week.

Ooh, that video from Chloe Bruce looks promising. Maybe a tease of Rey’s double-bladed lightsaber…? Besides, that Lego Star Destroyer is fantastic!

Is it actually a bacta tank? Could it instead be the housing of one of the eight crystals that power the laser weapon?

A real making of TFA book would be amazing done like the OT ones. So much behind the scenes drama to mined there.

I’d love to hear Lucas’s ideas other than the rumored teenage cast and Jedi Academy ones.

It’s rumored that the pending legal situation regarding the UK production company might have caused some complications with “The Making Of TFA” release.

    Great article, loved it!

Good to see that the Avengers are still in awe of Luke Skywalker 🙂

Speaking of which, I won’t spoil it, but there’s a classic Star Wars reference in Captain America: Civil War 🙂

    Absolute gold!

I can’t remember the Deadpool reference?
