Star Wars Rebels: Last 5 Episodes of Season 2 Summarized.
The last five episodes of this season of Star Wars Rebels – which seem to collectively form a story arc regarding the search for a rebel base, the Inquisitors, and Ahsoka’s confrontation with Darth Vader – have just received descriptions.
From BroadwayWorld:
- “Shroud of Darkness” – March 2nd: Kanan, Ezra and Ahsoka return to the Jedi Temple on Lothal, seeking answers from Yoda about the Inquisitors’ ability to continually track the rebels.
- “The Forgotten Droid” – March 16th: When Chopper gets left behind at an Imperial outpost, he forms an unlikely friendship with an Imperial droid, and discovers a base location for the rebels.
- “The Mystery of Chopper Base” – March 23rd: Kanan, Ezra and Ahsoka prepare to depart to unravel Vader’s secret, while the rebels find a way to fend off the predatory creatures that occupy the planet.
- “Twilight of the Apprentice: Part I and II” – March 30th: After gaining information about the Sith, Kanan, Ezra and Ahsoka battle the Inquisitors with the help of a new ally, but are overmatched when Vader arrives.
So from the sounds of things, the “new ally” in the last (double-length) is going to be none other than Darth Maul, as he doesn’t seem to fit into any of the other episodes described. Perhaps, then, the “Twilight of the Apprentice” is not referring to the last stand of Ahsoka Tano as many have been led to believe, but that of Darth Sidious’s first student. Let’s face it, a Darth Maul/Darth Vader confrontation is something we’d all love to see, and there’s still a lot of potential to take Ahsoka’s story in different directions in the next season (and even the one to three seasons planned to come out after that).

I still think the title refers to Ezra going to the dark side (as Maul’s apprentice) or at least leaving the Jedi path or joining whatever Maul represents now.
Vader isn’t supposed to kill Ahsoka anyway since the Emperor wants her captured in case she knows something about other remaining Jedi like Obi-Wan, and I agree that she has a lot of potential, it would be a total waste to have her on the series for only 1 season. The same goes for Maul: I don’t think they are bringing him back for only one episode.
Other things that may happen: we clearly see Ketsu Onyo’s ship (the Shadowcaster) on the season 2.5 trailer so we can assume she’s coming back; in The Mystery of Chopper Base we’ll see Sabine shooting those spider-like creatures from the EU (forgot their names) from the trailer; I wonder if the Imperial astromech is the one we saw in the last episode closing the blast doors to trap the rebels…; the inquisitors may be killed by the old Jedi Temple guards as seen in the trailer; I’m concerned about Rex’s fate since Sabine yells his name in the trailer and someone has to die…
Here’s the Shadowcaster flying alongside the Ghost, one of the Hammerheads and a cruiser I don’t think we have seen before…
the cruiser is the carrier they captured above ryloth
Are you sure? That would be really cool and even more pay-off from the previous episodes! They probably repainted it.
i think its likely but we’ll see. I think they would only paint a rebel insignia on it.
*facepalm* IT IS what other ships besides Star Destroyers have a hanger underneath?
You don’t see the *HANGAR* very clearly in that picture. BTW, i never said it wasn’t, brainiac.
http://prntscr.com/a98voi its right the fuck there!
Language!
That’s the Light Cruiser
you left out the A-wing!
Yeah, it’s the blurry blue ship. I’m not too good at taking screenshots…
Kinrath. They’re Kinrath, the spider-creatures.
Thanks! I didn’t know 🙂
guys ins’t Chopper named from that clone in TCW season 1 who was under interagation in Slick’s squad
Chopper is named after his designation, C1-10P (which resembles the word “Chop”, hence the nickname). Though you might be onto something with there being some sort of tie to the Clones…

Maybe Darth Maul will remain dieded if he gets killeded at the end of season 2
Two Chopper episodes.

Lol!!
Maybe one of them is about a different Chopper?

i think its just one chopper ep…
I’m beginning to think this season is not going to end well with Fans.
Wherever would you get that idea? 😉
i dunno. perhaps the space whales with warp drives ?
My thoughts:
Seems like only a few episodes to fit in the rest of that stuff from the Season 2.5 trailer. Maul, Vader, a new Inquisitor, Spider-looking things, Yoda, Sith temple/holocron, Jedi Temple Guards, Ezra’s turn/cross guard lightsaber, etc. Maybe they should have given some of THAT stuff more breathing room instead of creating 5 filler episodes.
Maul better not be that “unlikely ally”. He needs to be EVIL!
I hate Chopper. Stop giving him episodes. Or screen time.
Going back to Lothal again. Yaaaaaaay -__-
Spider-looking things, eh? Maybe the elusive, Ralph McQuarrie concept ‘knobby white spiders’…dare I hope? Then again, they only live on Dagobah…

I think they’re called “Kinrath”.

OMG – I now sorta vaguely remember these things from the 1st KOTOR game…am I right?
Yup. KOTOR 1. 2 too.
Yup.

That’s it! Thank you!
well, they re nasty ! lol they remind the Alien Queen with the egg’s trump.
Clearly there are not alot of people who are fans of chopper. I just like how he picks fights. Like the time he pulled a Zangief Double Lariat on that one droid who fell from the ghost from Season 1
i’m a fan of chop, i like how surly he is. 🙂
I love Chopper.
Perhaps Darth Maul will convince Ezra to help him assassinate the Emperor. Maul may say they have to do it for the good of the galaxy. Of course, Maul’s only real reason would be REVENGE! In the attempt, the Emperor kills Maul and captures Ezra in hopes of making him a new apprentice in season 3.
Maul in his prime maybe but not in his late 50’s/early 60’s.
Maul’s species is very long lived like Wookies So no I don’t believe he is too diminished.
Not mention that you can chop them in pieces and they´ll just need a glue to fix this little problem….
I know they have a high resistance to pain but not sure about aging, Regardless he looks terrible here and it’s not like he’d have anyone who could give him a challenge enough to stay in shape.
It depends on where he hid out after losing the battle with the emperor.
Stygion Prime according to the comics. More like held captive there.
Yes but eventually he escaped there too so we don’t have any idea where he was before meeting Ezra.
Probably laid low like Yoda since Sidious would be able to sense him for miles otherwise.
agreed. especially since Maul is warped and maimed. his character in the Clone Wars episodes was a shell of his old self.
It’s Mayweather vs Manny all over again.
Ok why the fuck do you all hate Chopper because he is a diffrent asteromech droid well you guys are all spoiled brats what about the droid that turned evil he almost got Anakin KILLED maybe you need to learn how to pull up your big girl/boy pants and learn that Chopper even though he is still useful so get the fuck over it!
Ever heard of punctuation? 🙂
We hate Choppper because he’s annoying as FUCK. Sorry, but it’s true.
Disagreed. I’m beginning to prefer Chopper to R2.
Chopper is great. I don’t understand the hate. I’m a poet and I didn’t know it.
Atleast Chopper knows how not to get shot by Darth Vader in a X-wing!
Do not blaspheme!
I’m just saying. Chopper sort of makes R2 look like a bitch.
The R2 fans will totally crucify you.
He has more personality! Deal with it!

Today. You win the internet friend. I fell out of my chair laughing.
Can’t disagree with you more… Chopper is amazing. Love his rusty attitude. Loved his battle with the imperial astro-mech. All hail Lord Chop!
Just think… if that droid had killed Anakin the Star Wars galaxy might not have suffered so badly. 😉
“about the Inquisitors’ ability to continually track the rebels.”
We haven’t seen the Inquisitors in like 12 episodes. What gives?
Darth Maul just can´t die :-)) he is immortal. NO matter what you do to him, he´ll survive :-))))) I already didn´t take seriously Clone Wars when realized he “survived”, now Rebels turns to be Clone Wars new seasons and the guy is still around…..what a joke. To me, he died on Naboo and the rest is, with the vords of the Maker, “that other Star Wars Universe” – the cartoon one, which I´ll never mix with the real deal, no matter how hard will Disney try to sell it with the “canon” stamp….. 🙂
So you’re disobeying an official mandate from Disney/Lucasfilm, huh?
(*cough* not a true SW fan *cough* generic pop culture fan *cough*)
“You don’t agree with me, so you aren’t a REAL member of my group!”
That is the No Scotsman Fallacy, and it is invalid.
“I don’t like a creative decision, so it’s not canon!”
Sorry bud, but you don’t get to decide that.
You know. You’re quite alone on this one.
Sure, there have been some weird twists and turns with revelations in the Clone Wars. But keep in mind, most of this was hatched from the mind of Lucas, so it’s expected.
I’ve never researched to find confirmation, but my guess is bringing Maul back was Filoni, and while the resurrection was down right bizzarro, most of us couldn’t really complain after we saw how AWESOME the show treated the character and developed a story for him.
We finally got the Darth Maul we wanted in Episode I. Most of us dealt with his survival from being cut in half. He is, after all, a Sith Lord.
And him still being alive? Fantastic, considering his story arc finished on one of the best lightsaber fights ever and we never did find out what happened after wards.
sounds like 90% of the stuff from the trailer is from the final two parter. not sure how i feel about that…
