5 New Lego Star Wars Sets Revealed?

Lego_Star_Wars_logo

A watchful eye over at our message board came across five leaked images of LEGO Star Wars sets – and surprisingly, only one of them is related to The Force Awakens.

Lego 2016 1

Lego 2016 2

Lego 2016 3

Lego 2016 4

Lego 2016 5

It’s interesting to see that a lot of these seem to be focused on the Clone Wars era (and that two of the three sets which feature completely original ships), especially considering that Rebels (which will return very soon) only gets one new set. It’s neat to see that the set for The Force Awakens features Lor San Tekka and Flametrooper figurines, though.

Thanks again to Thrawn1049 for making the find on The Cantina!

Maybe the one with the clones are for Rogue One? Isn’t Rogue One supposed to take place shortly after RoS? The clones should still be in rotation by then?

It’s just before ANH, where there are now more human trainees than clone troopers, who are pretty old by then.

ah. I thought Rogue One was taking place while the death star was being built….

I wouldn’t expect the first RO LEGO sets to hit until the Autumn at the earliest. These are for the Summer.

It’s set literally a couple of days before the events of ANH. The clones would’ve been replaced by then.

The guy who shared these with us told us that he expected them to hit in the Summer. There’s probably more where that came from, especially in regards to TFA.

If by ‘normal’ you mean classic XW, look again – it’s a TFA XW (split engines, starboard wings a pretty clearly that weird scissor-split design).

by ‘normal’ I obviously meant a ‘normal’ TFA X-wing, so you don’t need to teach me about something I already know.

The last two are completely new designs and I wonder if they may be for Rogue One possibly….

I swear the second to last one looks like a swoop bike with Dengar….. so maybe that one is Rebels?

I’d bet Rebels. They look WAY too bright and prequel-y to be for Rogue One.

Could the last one be from Aftermath. Wasn’t the kids droid a modified Battle droid??

Doubtful. The ship is called “Hammerhead” which we have yet to hear mentioned anywhere…

The second aftermath book gets released in May, so maybe…..

There is a briefly-glaced hammerhead corvette in Jedi – one of the ships ILM knocked together to fill out the background of the DS battle. From what’s known about it, it does look a bit like this new set actually.

In order… The x-wing seems legit, hoping they fixed the wing configuration from Poe’s. The Turbo tank is a pass, looks too similar to the first one that came out. I haven’t been keeping up with the rebels but the a-wing/advanced tie set looks pretty good, I feel we needed a cheaper set to get our hands on darth vader.

Last two sets I have no idea where they come from. I agree with some people that the fourth one seems to have dengar, which could be from rebels. The last one I can’t even make out the mini-figures, no idea where it could come from. I wookiepedia’d hammerhead and got these vessels from the old republic which don’t even look like it. Only time will tell.

I have no idea why I posted my opinions, but I just felt the urge to let everyone know…

Great line up if this real. X-Wing is nice, and its cool to see a new turbo tank.

I’m really curious if Rogue One will be as toyetic considering it will likely consist of mainly old vehicles.
