You think they’d at least be able to get people more excited by talking about the plot a little bit? I’m still not 100% sure what the exact plot is.

Get people MORE excited??? Seriously? I don’t think the Star Wars hype was ever this big.

I’m just saying, it seems like the content of Star Wars in these interviews on Fallon isn’t very emphasized.

The exact plot (or something very close to it in terms of how it starts and where it goes) is spelled out in various locations online. While a few things are still unclear, the general plot is there. Who is Snoke? Why is Luke not around? Who are the Knights of Ren exactly? Where dd the sabre go to and why is it so important? There are questions of course, but these are questions way beyond Joe Average asking what the basic plot outline is.

Of course you don’t know what the exact plot is. That’s kind of the point.

Would you prefer BM vs SM where we now know the entire story based on the trailer. And they ruined one of the most climactic scenes.

You see how he was looking over his shoulder for Disney/Lucasfilm snipers?

I got a kick out of Fallon looking at Driver’s back to make sure that was actually him in the Kylo Ren Costume.
Driver has been a fairly awkward public persona so far, I think due to nerves, and you can tell he is uncomfortable with that sort of thing. He seemed to warm up though as the conversation went on, and this was the best talk show appearance I’ve seen from him. Jimmy F. did a good job easing him out of his shell.

I know. He seems quite shy or perhaps he’s acting that way. He reminds me of Keanu Reeves, in a way. The way he looks, but also this timid behaviour.
I think he ‘s a great guy though.

Plus, he’s got the whole – “I’m a former Marine” thing going for him. Semper Fi.

That’s what I like about him. marine and from San Diego. Cool guy. He will finish what he started…

Yea, that’s probably true. I hope Driver somehow channeled some of his military experience into the role of Kylo. That would be pretty cool.

Oh totally! He could absolutely play the young John Wick if they ever did a prequel which I hope they make now.

Yeah. He’s very much a young Harrison Ford. He’s awkward and shy in the public, but if the role calls for him to play a cocky, charismatic, witty character, he knocks it out of the ballpark. He’s just a fantastic actor.

It’s hard to answer questions when you can’t answer them. I don’t believe that it’s Luke in there, but damn, why does he hesitate when asked if it’s him masked there? I love it. I can’t wait.

I don’t think there’s nothing to hesitate about. Rolling Stone magazine said yesterday that they were in the editing room for 20 minutes, and they reveal that there’s this lightsaber fight between Finn and Kylo, and that Kylo is unmasked and has no scars.

Luke hasn’t joined the dark side at all. the scene where we see his robot hand touch R2 says it all. A dark side user wouldn’t have that emotion or thought to lay a hand on a droid in that way. Luke wouldn’t go near that droid unless it was to destroy it if he was a dark side user. Luke and r2 equals light side…unless ofcourse immediately after he switches on his lightsaber with the other hand and watches it go through the droids head…all while patting him…CRAP…LUKE HAS JOINED THE DARK SIDE

Ah I can answer that question for you. Because it’s very likely this was the first time he even saw stills of himself as Kylo Ren. He hasn’t seen these shots of Kylo Ren that we’ve been seeing. He doesn’t like seeing his own work. He brings it up alot, and he doesn’t even plan on watching The Force Awakens. Although he said he might have to, and I believe it’s because hes in the other two sequels

It’s possible he hesitated because there certainly would have been a double in the suit at times during the filming (e.g. for stunts) and he might have been honestly thinking about whether he did the specific shot they showed. Or he may have just thought it was an absurd question.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again: they don’t put a bad guy in a mask in a movie without a reason… my hunch is, there will be a major plot twist involving the mask… perhaps it is not always Adam Driver behind it? Why put a villain in a mask and then unmask him in Vanity Fair 6 months before the movie comes out? Am I right?

It’s so funny that they pop up on these shows and basically can’t say anything at all about the movie. It’s just to raise awareness that a new Star Wars movie is coming out.

Has a manly speaking voice in this interview but it sounds goofier in the trailer. I hope they alter it in the final print of the film because otherwise he sounds better with the mask off.

I have a good feeling that he’ll be around at least until VIII, but hopefully he’ll stay until IX.
