Wired Magazine Cover Shows the Millennium Falcon in Action.

Millennium FalconWired magazine has just released a full-color image of the Millennium Falcon in flight in time for a forthcoming issue that will tie into The Force Awakens. The new shot of the Jakku escape sequence very clearly shows what are the broken remnants of a Super Star Destroyer serving as the backdrop for a dogfight.

    I don’t get the bay 327 thing.

read the text below it. “Clear Bay 327” is what the operator said when the Falcon was tractored into the DS in ANH.

We have already seen the crashed Super Star Destroyer laying on its back in screenshots from the trailers – and with less objects cluttering the foreground. 😉

Interesting that the Empire had multiple Super Star Destroyers… Man they are great at throwing money down the drain!

Upon approaching the Emperor’s Super Star Destroyer in ROJ Han told Luke (“Vader is on that ship”) “There are many command ships”. But the original EU creators had not noticed this information (among others).

The EU mentioned several Executor-class Super Star Destroyers: the Executor (of course), the Terror, the Vengeance, the Guardian, the Annihilator, the Reaper, and the Brawl. Also, there were several other Super Star Destroyers of different classes including the Eclipse.

Yep. The Battle of Jakku was pretty huge; 3 or 4 different SSDs are mentioned in Lost Stars.

I don’t see any discernible pilot, looks like they obfuscated the interior cockpit view on purpose.

Guys, don’t you remember the most recent TV spot? Rey says, “Get ready!” She’s clearly in the cockpit, with Finn in the lower gunner spot. He says, “For what?!”

I think Rey knows she’s supposed to take this ship when the time is right…

This new film does a splendid job making us feel things are new and fresh again. I just wonder if this is indeed a new beginning, is the skywalker bloodline all that important? People think Rey may be a solo or a skywalker, but she may very well be, as she stated herself, a “no one.”

Kathleen Kennedy said that the “saga” films (1-9) are about the Skywalker family. Logically, Rey, being the main protagonist of this new trilogy, should be a Skywalker.

My own theory on the new rectenna is that Han hates it but Leia talked him out of replacing it with one that looks like the original since Lando probably feels bad enough for getting it knocked off in the first place.

Not really sold on it yet but it was probably the one thing they could change about the Falcon without it being too much of a departure and like the X-Wings/TIE’s/Star Destroyers/Shuttles they had to change at least one thing so that they weren’t just carbon copying models from the OT>
