They better not be harping on practical effects again. Not that it’s not good to hear about that but come on, that topic has been beaten to death by now (and it’s not like it’s going to be all practical effects). Anyway, I want to hear something more substantial now involving details of the movie. C’mon Disney, give a new trailer, opining crawl, and/or a synopsis! How about an official TFA poster as well? Stop beating around the bush and give the general public something to look forward to (please don’t leave us feeling empty again like I felt after SDCC (BTS video clip aside)). And can we get some toy previews as well on other things besides TIE fighters and New Order Stormtroopers? [the repetition of “practical effects talk” and seeing the same figures over and over again has become ad nauseum] I want to know how much to budget for September 4th and beyond.

And before someone comes on here and comments something along the lines of “I don’t need to know more about the movie”, “I want to be surprised completely on Dec. 18th” etc., please know that not everyone thinks that way and there are Star Wars fans and members of the general public for that matter that would like to know something about the movie before seeing it in theaters; I am in this camp, and no, please don’t try to change my mind about how I feel on this matter on wanting to know more about the movie.

Amen to that. I am so sick and tired of all this practical effects talk and seeing dumb puppets strut around stage as if the internet photos and film clips weren’t enough to convince us.

Disney accomplished everything they set out to at SDCC. The BTS footage and the full cast appearing on stage, kept the ‘vast majority’ of fans happy, and more importantly, they didn’t reveal any details of the plot.
And before you come on here and comment, “I need to know more about the movie”, “I don’t care about being completely surprised on Dec 18th”, you should understand that the ‘vast majority’ of moviegoers want to go into movie houses on/after Dec 18th, not know what the plot is and be blown away by the entirety of the experience.

Like seriously…..thats not really a good argument. Furthermore just because star wars redefined pop culture doesn’t mean its an immortal god like franchise. Theyre still movies that r liked and hated on by many people and even in the fan base people like most ( OT ) of the films but hate the rest ( PT ) of them. It works in the same way just like any other film franchise. It’s just that star wars is one of the most known (if not most popular) ones out there. Next to the aliens franchise, Mad max franchise, and a couple of other known film franchises.

maybe – we might get more of an opening crawl, or 3rd teaser. I think I have to agree with a previous post that the real trailer will be at the New York Comic con which is I think sometime in October

Another awkward panel coming up where no one can say anything. JJ’s secrecy is so stupid. Ooh, we accidentally revealed Starkiller Base! Big Deal. Comic-con panel was horrible. All we got was Han probably dies. The actors are so afraid to say anything. Adam Driver totally shut down. He better get used to public speaking.

Patience dude, maybe Disney finished now with the special effects topic and maybe they will talk about the topic of the sequel trilogy.

Stop it with the trailer guys. They’re hyping Sept. 4th like crazy. Books, toys…everything is being released that day. There won’t be anything of importance anymore before that day.

I agree with this above all other “hype”.

i hear they are going to show the security footage of when Disney walked into Lucas’s office and bashed him over the head with a sack of money. When George woke up, he tried to file a report but when he got to the part of awaking to find his Star Wars ideas gone, but the perps had left 4 billion, the officers just tear up the report and walk out…that’s what i heard anyway…

I heard that a team of bounty hunters led by Boba Fret(about not knowing more about TFA) tried to steal the plans of TFA, but failed!
And a ‘tiny’ disturbance was felt in the force as a handful of voices cried out in frustration!

Well here’s an interesting little nugget of new info (possibly to be considered a MINOR SPOILER) about the production of The Force Awakens revealed by Adam Savage of Mythbusters.
    Very Cool!!!
