Star Wars The Black Series Jabba's Rancor Pit

Star Wars™ The Black Series Jabba’s Rancor™ Pit from Hasbro®

Star Wars™ fans can re-create one of the biggest battles and missions in the Star Wars Saga with this set from The Black Series. Jabba’s Rancor™ Pit includes highly articulated 6-inch figures, all of which are featured in the epic Return of the Jedi scene where Jabba the Hut throws a Gamorrean Guard and Luke Skywalker into the Rancor Pit, while Princess Leia looks on in horror. This item will become available at Toys“R”Us stores later this year.

One clarification from Toys”R”Us:

The figures are indeed 3.75-inch. Jabba is 6 inches, which is where the confusion is stemming from.

I’m thinking this is gonna be a little expensive.

  • June 25, 2015 at 5:18 pm

    Force Awakens news?

    • June 25, 2015 at 5:22 pm

Dude stop being THAT guy. Clearly the fine people at SW7News have been repeatedly stating that they will post interesting SW news not TFA related. Sit down and shut up.

      • June 26, 2015 at 1:15 am

Fru T pulled out of light speed to close to the website,he is as clumsy as he is stupid… he should take the responsibility himself and apologize to me at once!

    • June 25, 2015 at 5:25 pm

We’re doing some changes and article tagging on the site. So that if you want to see only TFA news you just need to press a button. 🙂

      • June 25, 2015 at 5:52 pm

Most of the visitors are interested in this kind of news as well – I think. The site does a great job.

As for the changes, it would be fantastic to find a section on the page (just pressing a button) where the items (books, comics, series, etc.) of the new official timeline can be seen in a simple version. I mean just the titles, not much text.

      • June 26, 2015 at 1:18 pm

I know I will continue to read all the new content. Because it is relevant to a Star Wars fan such as myself. Also this toy set looks awesome. To bad it’s only at Toys”R”us

I see hasbro can’t get 6″ off their minds. According to the press release, this set includes highly articulated 6″ figures.

    • June 25, 2015 at 5:55 pm

These look like the 3 1/2″ collection. Is it the 6″? Thanks!

  • June 25, 2015 at 5:29 pm

    Shouldn’t Luke’s cloak be black?

    • June 25, 2015 at 5:36 pm

It’s probably another one of those strange american things where black cloaks are racist, or summat.

    • June 25, 2015 at 5:46 pm

No, it was brown in the movie.

      • June 25, 2015 at 7:19 pm

Well, whatever colour it is it’s no where near as bright a shade as this.

        • June 26, 2015 at 12:46 am

It was also this lighter color in the original toys.

  • June 25, 2015 at 5:33 pm

I doubt these are 6″ figures. Other sites are saying that’s a typo from TRU and they are actually 3 3/4″. Otherwise the rancor would be over 2 feet tall…

  • June 25, 2015 at 5:43 pm

PETA aren’t going to be happy with the small mammal that has attached itself to the Gamorrean 😉

  • June 25, 2015 at 5:54 pm

Ultra spoiler alter: Jabba will be the villain in The Force Awakens!!!

    • June 25, 2015 at 7:39 pm

Poor Leia! She thought she was choking Jabba to death as payback. Instead, it was something else… 0_o

      Sick bastard.

    • June 25, 2015 at 8:08 pm

I hate liars. What a chump!

  • June 25, 2015 at 5:59 pm

What about a sarlacc-toy with Boba Fett in it …

    • June 25, 2015 at 6:08 pm

You can press a button to have him eject from the Sarlacc. We already find out a lot of our SW news from toy releases. They might as well officially announce Fett’s fate by releasing the Sarlacc Playset “The Black Series: Sarlaac Escape!” lol

  • June 25, 2015 at 6:21 pm

    Whaaaaaat? No rancor keeper??

I remember my mum sending away for a figure of him with tokens off the packs.

    • June 25, 2015 at 6:38 pm

I loved those white card boxes arriving in the post. The emperor, chief chirpa, ran or keeper, 4lom, tie fighter pilot… Am I forgetting any?

      • June 25, 2015 at 6:43 pm

Anakin (force ghost at end of original ROTJ)

        • June 25, 2015 at 7:31 pm

Yup! I loved having that neon-green Hayden figurine..

      • June 26, 2015 at 6:52 am

Admiral Ackbar, Boba Fett, Bossk, Nien Nunb, Anakin (non-ghost version), B’Omarr Monk, Han Solo Stormtrooper, Mace Windu, action figure survival kit…

Okay this seems a little extreme…

    • June 26, 2015 at 5:56 pm

The packaging looks like it can’t handle all that figures !

  • June 25, 2015 at 9:01 pm

  • June 25, 2015 at 9:39 pm

That poor Gamorrean Guard looks like he is wearing a fuzzy tutu rather then just a animal fur kilt.

  • June 25, 2015 at 10:56 pm

This has to be like $120+

  • June 26, 2015 at 12:00 am

I hope they sort out C3PO’s paint job before they finally release a 6 inch version in the black series. They managed to get it right in the 90s for god’s sake! Why have they gone more down the Droids cartoon colour route? Hopefully it’s just a bad photo.

  • June 26, 2015 at 1:24 am

After Viral Hide post it & labels what is that video doing showing cooking something? An advertise?

  • June 26, 2015 at 2:51 am
