I’ve seen Obi Wan in seven Star Wars movies two tv shows and a mini series, i have had about enough of him time for a new character to get a movie and not to waste it on Obi Wan.

Might be fun to see young reckless Obi-Wan pre-TPM, him having adventures on Tatooine protecting young Luke from afar, Qui-gon force ghost stuff, etc.

      Pre-TPM?

Yes. Maybe show why he beaome more of the careful Obi-Wan from the movies after a more reckless childhood. This could be done in flashbacks or whatever like the Kanan comic.

What you seek already existed in the old EU, there was an entire book series devoted to young obi wan – but now it is dust along with the rest of the EU. We may have to unlearn what we have learned, as these new stories may turn characters we feel familiar with (due to our knowledge of the old EU) into completely different characters/personalities in the Disney universe.

I’m aware of this. I’m talking about the canon comics and/or spin-off movies.

I am assuming the reason “why” is that the story group is probably still arguing with Disney over whether or not Boba Fett should be… Well the clone, or the stupid idea of the new Boba.

Again pretty bad/mediocre artworks. Dark Horse eats those for breakfast!

I really don’t like where this is going.

      *looks at it…*

Its just normal artwork with varying artists…

      *looks harder*

What… What are you talking about?

      *looks really freaking hard*

I am pretty sure some of these same damn artists worked for Dark Horse…

To be fair only the first two covers look bad,
not sure about the Kanan inner art but the rest looks great to me.
Love the colours in the Lando issues. Beep.

Do you think that in Star Wars issue #7 that Obi Wan will finally kill Darth Maul for good?

Disney wants these books pumped out really fast and don’t pay too much attention to detail in your art. As far as more Obi-Wan stories, he’s been done to death. Everyone knows all about his character. Any more information on him and you’ll start to hate him.

You know commenting twice under two different names doesnt make your complaints about the art any more valid.

There is also barely any in-comic art shown above… So you literally have nothingto base your complaints on.

Also Obi-wan hasnt been done to death… maybe in the EU but not in canon… not even taht much in the EU I think…

Also how would more information on a character hurt? or are you just getting pissy that your fan fiction is going to be invalidated?

I guess you know nothing about comic book publishing because marvel treats star wars like they treat all of their other series, like they have for decades. The comic book medium is designed for quick turn around. No one is standing behind the artists and writers to make them go any faster than they normally would. And speaking of the art and writing, these same people are pretty big names in the comic book industry. I will admit I did not care for the style of Princess Leia. but that doesn’t mean other people think the same way. otherwise they wouldn’t have given that artist the series or the number of big name series they have done in the past. But you’re just another person who jumps on the bandwagon of hating on any new Star Wars content.

Yeah because you know… they never ever produced any Star Wars comics before Disney got its hands on the franchise.

Got forbid we get more stories in a franchise we know and love, and can further explore the universe in new and different ways.

I’m not usually one to complain…as these remarks are usually really full of them anyway….but I agree that the artwork on the book covers (not the comics necessarily) is bad. Look at TESB cover….you can’t tell me that rendition of Luke and Han look ANYTHING like Mark or Harrison. I hate it when they do that….it’s like they’re trying to warm us up to the idea of seeing someone else play the character. God help me if they ever reboot ANY Star Wars movie.

The prospect of them pulling a timeline trick like with Star Trek scares me. For now I think we’re safe though.

The only story I want to see ablout obiwan is his isolation while looking after luke. I want to know what the hell he was doing and why it took him until Luke was old to tell him of the force

There are a number of good stories during his isolation, and about his childhood pre-Qui Gon in the old EU, but alas, they have met the same fate as all the other good EU stuff…
