A possible canon remake of the star wars holiday special starring gungans instead of wookiees

Real talk – if there’s ever a canon comic remake of anything, it needs to be Shadows Of The Empire.

ugh, at first I thought it was a rip-off of Revan who is a ripoff of the dark knight in Monty Python [which would be pretty cool],
but instead we got… THIS, Darth Vader and Sub-Zero’s love-baby… I’m so disappointed in the human race right now.

Does anyone know or have an educated guess as to where on the Internets or in a U.S. movie theater the JJ & KK opening panel can be viewed live? I see that there are some movie theaters in England that are doing a live simulcast. Well, what about in the U.S.A or anywhere else in the world? How about the Anoat system?

that big ugly red Marvel logo was the last thing I wanted to see on the front page today, with three days till one of the biggest Star Wars fan event of the year.

Keep crying about it. Eventually your tampon will change itself.

This is Star Wars. Deal with it or “un-fan” yourself.

My shots in the dark: Rogue One prequel and Boba Fett Returns (different guy in the suit but maybe no one really knows the original’s dead other than the rebels and a few sarlacc survivors of whom he quickly disposes).

Pablo Hidalgo has said the whole “Fett identity theft” thing is complete BS. He’s on the Lucasfilm Story Group that decides what the story will be going forward. That’s about as direct of a debunking as you’re going to get from LFL. Boba Fett is Boba Fett, nobody else.

It’s funny how the EU haters bash the books, but they keep insisting Boba Fett is alive. That’s a really good example of the word “irony.”

George Lucas said that Boba Fett survived. You can’t get more canon than that, and the Lucasfilm Story Group is is going with it.

Oh, now all of a sudden George is being listened to? Remember that next time you go off on an arguing spree about midichlorians.

When did I ever bash the EU? Now that we have a new canon, I’m just exploring new ways of bringing the character back. It might be cool to have a comic showing someone else taking the mantle. Then at the end of the comic series, the original Boba returns to reclaim his identity.

I’m not really basing this off rumors–just a couple shots in the dark. Having Boba around during the big gap between trilogies may prove to be too tempting to pass up. I think I remember Lucas saying Darth Maul was gone for good at one point.

so Boba is seriously STILL that wimpy-clone kid all grown up? STILL?

F**** Disney. They only time they come out of the dark regarding Celebration Anaheim is when it involves Marvel. Let me guess: the big JJ/kennedy announcement is “I’m glad you are here! Let’s show you…… a new trailer to Avengers 2!!!!!!!”

Have you not noticed the dozens of announcements that they’ve made about the event? The ones that have popped up on the front page? Or the comprehensive list of panels?

Pomojema, have you not noticed that nobody actually said we’re getting a trailer during the JJ/Kennedy panel?

Sure, there are dozens of announcements about the event, but let’s not forget what happened last year during Comic Con: nothing.

They didn’t say the trailer was a sure thing (nor did I), but the fact that they’re streaming the opening across many nations strongly suggests that they are planning to release a new trailer. Not to mention the reports from various sites claiming that the trailer is, in fact, going to hit then and there. They’d be foolish not to promote the movie before their other biggest film of the year.

The only promotion that you’re going to get for a non-Star Wars Marvel project at the convention is that you’ll hear a “Catch this trailer at any showing of Avengers: Age Of Ultron!” after the footage is shown. Which, again, is the best opportunity to advertise the movie for a long, long while.

Also, Comic Con was smack dab in the middle of production, and not the best time to reveal a bunch of new information considering Bad Robot’s secrecy. At that point, production had only been rolling for only two months.
