Well its official that Disney has contacted all of the above names. Interesting that they called up Jar Jar. I thought Disney was trying to distance themselves from the prequels as much as possible. Especially Jar Jar. I wish I could go, It would be awesome to meet Hamill

you probably would not get the chance, they hand out like 50 bracelets en mass at the gates, starting at an early time in the a.m. before the gates open, so you can bet people camp out for these…they may hand a few more out at “special events” inside the park, the rest (which are few) are given with promotional Disney Resort packages and maybe some are given through fan clubs??? not sure about that last one…point is, out of thousands and thousands of visitors inside the park, probably less than 200 people actually “meet” the actors…that was as of 4 years ago, maybe it changed or maybe i was there at an off year…

“I thought Disney was trying to distance themselves from the prequels” They have never said that. The did say everything other then the films, like EU will be dis regarded.

Darn it darn it darn it darn it darn it!!!!!! I wish I could go to this!!!!!! It would be SOOO AMAZING TO MEET ALL THOSE AWESOME STARS!!!!!!!!! Oh, star destroyers. I guess there’s always next year. *sigh* but what if some of these actors are dead? Then I would have never gotten to meet them at all!!!!! I want to cry right now…. but I don’t cry that often…. and even when I am about to I try to hold back my tears…

God Bless (and no rude replies please)

The john ratzenberger appearance annoys me. Not just because his part in star wars was ridiculously small, but this is just a way to advertise Pixar.

Cheers was a good show though. I know he didn’t do much in Star Wars but he was in it. “Your highness the shield doors must be closed”

The one thing Disney is and has always and will be great at is marketing!… When they can tie 2 or 3 things together they will. For example what do you think the Disney Christmas special is on Christmas morning. It’s a 2 hour long commercial for Disney / ABC… and associated brands.

    Weekend II: “Wald”

Oh that’s fucking genius, everyone knows the most beloved character in Star Wars is a rodian kid.

ah, but that is clever marketing eh? smaller amounts payed out to actors primarily known for SW and a guaranteed audience, people will pay because this is Disney, & this is SW…

It would be absolutely awesome to be able to attend an event like this! It would be amazing beyond words, to be in the presence of Mark Hamill n Jeremy Bulloch, Biily Dee or Ray Park etc lol. As i am in New Zealand, the opportunity to do, so feels greater than a thousand star systems slipping through my fingers hahaha
On a smaller scale, we have a similar event here (well not really hahaha) called ‘Armageddon’
A few years back, i was blessed with sitting down with David Prowse and Peter Mayhew at our event, at the time, there were few people around where, the kids and i managed to have almost 15min at their table. I tell you, you could feel the force oozing from these two people, we had some great laughs and i was left feeling incredibly humbled, I shook both their hands, they shook my kids hands too lol as we were leaving, both Peter and David stood up, my kids were in absolute awe as they towered above them with a smile lol
I doubt we will ever have this opportunity again and will never forget how special this time with them was. I just wanted to share this with ya all and for those that will be going to your up-coming Star Wars event, have a blast and May the Force Be with you! Todd 49 New Zealand.

Damn it, I’m going to be in Disneyworld the weekend before this! I’ve always wanted to go to Star Wars weekends. First time going to Disneyworld though, should be a blast anyways! Still, as such a huge Star Wars fan, it’s a bummer I’m missing out on this. Ah well!

So Mark is at this at this from June 6 -8. Harrison is currently shooting a feature. Carrie is mentioning SW every chance she gets so she gets media attention for her other projects.

Folks, this film will not shoot until July. Or it will be delayed and get released for May 2016, which I would love to see. SW takes over summer 2016.

Well principal photography is set for Pinewood Studios sometime in May. This does not mean every single actor who is cast will be needed on Day 1. Their various scenes will have been scheduled, with some starting in May and others not flying over until June or July. They would also have been allocated time off for other committments. All perfectly normal. And it will be released on Dec 18 2015. This is all set in stone to all intents and purposes. Alan Horn confirmed this just a day or so ago. Sorry, but no May release. Move on.

It’s not that long of a of a flight from the UK to Florida and it’s only a weekend… to promote Star Wars. You don’t think that it is possible to have a weekend off for Mark to promote Star Wars while shooting Star Wars? I am more than sure they have plenty of scenes to shoot which Mark will not be a part of… let’s just simmer down on the speculation that the movie is delayed just because Mark Hamill is at Disneyworld doing one Star Wars Weekend
