cool! Hope this means something more…are they placing Revan in some way in Rebels, maybe not now but in the near/distant future? It’s curious that something like this came directly after their statement about the EU unification…isn’t it?

One can hope he is added to Cannon, Those stories 1,000 Before the Galactic Empire should still be good. They are so far away from the other stories they can still fit into everything, But that would also mean that Exar Kun and Freedon Nadd are cannon Because you find their tomb’s in the games. Which is very strange because Exar Kun was conceived in the Jedi Academy Trilogy by Kevin J Anderson. He posses one of Luke’s Students and put Luke in a coma. So I don’t know what that means ?

My mistake lol. That means they are even further before . lots of room for the universe to change in that time,

It’s canon because only post-Rotj EU is non-canon now.

Sorry, I’ve only seen the movies, but who is Darth Reven, why is he important and how does he fit with the Two Sith rule?

Revan was a Jedi Master who went on to fight the Mandalorian Wars against the will of the Jedi Council.
He became sith, conquered the galaxy, was defeated and lost his memories.
He became a Jedi Master again, and went in the uknown regions to confront the secret Sith Empire.

Darth Bane found his holocrons and studied them. They became the foundations of the Banite Order of the Rule of Two.

In my opinion he is the best character ever written in the Star Wars EU.

Ah, so he IS an EU character. And Disney is using it? The diehard OT fanatics bent on saying “THE EU IS DEAD! THE EU IS DEAD!” failed to mention this little tidbit.

btw, thank you for the nice summary explaining who the guy is.

He’s also a very important part of the (still active) Star Wars MMORPG…

Revan and Bane are both canon, right? Revan, I’m not 100% sure, but he was set to appear as a force ghost to The Son in some episode of “Mortis Trilogy”.

Revan was a Jedi who left the order when the Jedi failed to help the Republic in a war against the mandalorians. The battle on Malachor V was so bloody that many Jedi feel to the dark side that day. Including Revan and Malik. he is from a PC and original Xbox game called Knights of the Old Republic

Everybody talking Darth Revan… But, am I the only one who thinks “Lego Star Wars” is just silly? How can anything Lego be canon? Rebels sounds much more my speed.
