‘The Bad Batch’ Season 3 Drops First Trailer, February 21 Release Date Announced
The Bad Batch will be the second Star Wars series coming this year, after Young Jedi Adventures drops its final episodes on Feb. 14, as Lucasfilm has confirmed a Feb. 21 release date by releasing a brand-new trailer. This will be the third and final season of the series, which hails from supervising director Brad Rau and head writer Jennifer Corbett.

Lucasfilm showed a quick teaser during last year’s Star Wars Celebration in London, but it didn’t come with any additional information other than it would come out in 2024. Jennifer Corbett has been teasing that a trailer is imminent a couple of times, and it finally paid off!
As you may have seen, the trailer ended with a rather intriguing tease, the return of Asajj Ventress. Supervising director Brad Rau explained the (canon-bending?) choice to StarWars.com:
“We love Asajj Ventress. She’s a character that we’ve been wanting to tell more stories about. We don’t want to spoil anything, but want fans to know that any new storytelling with Ventress will align with the events of Star Wars: Dark Disciple.”
The new season will be 15 episodes long; the first three will start streaming on February 21. Lucasfilm has also revealed the titles and release dates for all of them:
- 2/21: Episode 301 “Confined,” Episode 302 “Paths Unknown,” Episode 303 “Shadows of Tantiss” (debut)
- 2/28: Episode 304 “A Different Approach”
- 3/6: Episode 305 “The Return”
- 3/13: Episode 306 “Infiltration” & Episode 307 “Extraction”
- 3/20: Episode 308 “Bad Territory”
- 3/27: Episode 309 “The Harbinger”
- 4/3: Episode 310 “Identity Crisis” & Episode 311 “Point of No Return”
- 4/10: Episode 312 “Juggernaut”
- 4/17: Episode 313 “Into the Breach”
- 4/24: Episode 314 “Flash Strike”
- 5/1: Episode 315 “The Cavalry Has Arrived” (finale)

In the epic final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the Batch will have their limits tested in the fight to reunite with Omega as she faces challenges of her own inside a remote Imperial science lab. With the group fractured and facing threats from all directions, they will have to seek out unexpected allies, embark on dangerous missions, and muster everything they have learned to free themselves from the Empire.
The Bad Batch is one of three animated shows coming from a galaxy far, far away this year. Young Jedi Adventures will wrap its first season in February, with Tales of the Jedi season 2 coming at some point later on. Two live-action shows are confirmed to be coming out too, Skeleton Crew and The Acolyte.
