‘Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’ Nominated in Two Categories at The Game Awards Including Best Performance For Cameron Monaghan

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been nominated for two awards, including “Best Performance” for actor Cameron Monaghan at this year’s The Game Awards. The nominees were announced on the morning of November 13 by host Geoff Keighley. The Game Awards will be streamed on December 7 at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles where the winners will be announced.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is also nominated for “Best Action/Adventure” game. The other nominees in that category include Resident Evil 4, Alan Wake 2, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. As far as “Best Performance,” other nominees include Idris Elba for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and Yuri Lowenthal for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Upcoming title Star Wars: Outlaws was also nominated for one award, “Most Anticipated Game.”

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was well-received upon its release. Star Wars News Net writer Fran J. Ruiz wrote in his review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that it is “the best Star Wars in years.” However, it was not without its issues, as many critics and consumers were upset over the game’s initial performance problems. The game has received many patches since then to fix those glitches, and it has also garnered a Grammy nomination for its soundtrack.

Developer Respawn Entertainment is working on a third installment of the Star Wars Jedi series. Although, it will be doing so without Stig Asmussen, game director of the previous two Star Wars Jedi games. Asmussen abruptly left Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts (EA) earlier this year. Based on a recent job posting at Respawn Entertainment, the third entry in the Star Wars Jedi series is likely still in very early development.

The Game Awards will be streamed live on December 7 at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Fans can also cast their vote at The Game Awards website.
