Minecraft ‘Star Wars: Path of the Jedi’ Out Today — New Trailer Shows Off Customization, Legacy Characters and More

A new trailer for the Minecraft adventure Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, was just released, showcasing more customization options and other iconic characters players will encounter. The expansion is available now on the Minecraft marketplace as DLC.

The launch trailer displays new characters that fans will meet, including Huyang, Ahsoka Tano, Count Dooku, and Shaak Ti. It also briefly demonstrates some of the customization options players will be able to utilize, including the ability to change lightsaber colors and designs, and the ability to repaint personal Astromech droids. Feel free to check it out below.

Additionally, the official Minecraft website also detailed a bit more about what players will experience. The DLC will begin with players starting as a Padawan under the tutelage of Master Yoda and Kelleran Beq:

Minecraft Star Wars: Path of the Jedi is set during the Clone Wars and you start off as a young Padawan at the Jedi Academy. Here you will train with Grand Master Yoda, Kelleran Beq, and the other Jedi to master the Force and rise to the rank of Jedi Knight. Homework?! you might wonder. Well, making objects fly through literal space and battling with lightsabers hardly counts!”

After this beginning section, it appears players will then go on missions to other known locations. New gameplay footage and photos showcase future boss encounters against General Grievous and Acklays:

“Once you’ve passed the Jedi trials, the real adventure begins. The Clone Wars are raging across the universe, so Yoda, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, and other familiar faces are waiting with missions that’ll take you across new biomes and a previously uncharted planet. The exact details of the quests are for Jedi eyes only, but safe to say: you will never look up at our square moon the same way again!”

Star Wars: Path of the Jedi is a collaboration between developer Spark Universe and Lucasfilm Games. It is now available to download on the Minecraft Marketplace.
