Exclusive: Quinlan Vos and Cad Bane Go Head-To-Head in ‘Hyperspace Stories’ #9 Preview

Star Wars News Net is happy to feature an exclusive preview for the next issue of Hyperspace Stories. Hyperspace Stories #9 touts a head-to-head matchup with two fan-favorite Clone Wars characters: Quinlan Vos and Cad Bane. The comic will be available for purchase on September 27 at local comic book stores and on digital store shelves.

Hyperspace Stories #9 is published by Dark Horse Comics and is written by Michael Moreci, with art by Nick Brokenshire. The variant cover art is done by Cary Nord.

Here is the official synopsis of the comic, provided by Dark Horse:

Jedi Knight Quinlan Vos arrives on the crime ridden world of Bevana, on a mission that could be the key to ending the Clone Wars. But it turns out the defector he’s tracking has more than Dooku’s secrets, he’s also made off with a sizeable amount of the count’s fortune!  Now Vos finds himself in a lethal race against time with the deadliest bounty hunter in the Galaxy, Cad Bane!

Now onto some of the opening pages of the issue. The one aspect of the preview that immediately stood out for me was the art. It personally took me some time to get used to it, but after going through it entirely, I learned to enjoy it as it reminded me of classic comic art from the mid-80s/early ’90s. The bright colors and cartoony faces give it a bit of a campy feel, which could be a good thing.

Is Cad Bane on the warpath in Hyperspace Stories #9?

As Quinlan Vos rescues his target, it ends with Vos sensing another individual approaching. Could this be Cad Bane himself? Readers can find out next week when Hyperspace Stories #9 hits store shelves and digital libraries on September 27. In the meantime, you can also check out our review of Hyperspace Stories #8 which features Kylo Ren and General Hux carving a path of destruction.

Thanks again to Dark Horse Comics for providing Star Wars News Net with an exclusive preview of their upcoming release.
