Disney Releases Another Spot for ‘Ahsoka’ Three Weeks Ahead of Series Premiere
Disney released another new TV spot for the upcoming Ahsoka series, which includes a newly-edited series of clips from both trailers. Unfortunately, there’s no new footage in the spot, as it re-uses images from the trailers, mostly featuring the title character using her lightsabers and getting into some outer-space action.
It’s clear that Disney is starting to market the show in earnest now that we are three weeks away from release. With the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, we likely won’t be receiving the typical amount of promotion for Ahsoka via cast interviews, as the strike was announced before they could record the bulk of that push (though we may still get some, as the marketing departments could have anticipated it and asked the press to do it in advance). As a result, we may see Disney release more TV spots in an effort to market Ahsoka as much as possible without the heavy lifting of the cast. Rest assured, if any future promos contain new footage, Star Wars fans will find it.
