‘Star Wars: Outlaws’ and ‘Hasbro Star Wars’ Panels Coming to San Diego Comic-Con

Star Wars: Outlaws will have its own panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), while Hasbro will also be talking about its Star Wars toy line.

According to SDCC’s programming schedule, Star Wars Outlaws: Becoming the Galaxy’s Most Wanted will be an hour-long panel at 17:15 on Saturday, July 22. Both the game’s creative and narrative directors will be part of the panel, along with Kay Vess’ voice actor Humberly González and Star Wars voice acting veteran Dee Bradley Baker. As it’s an hour long, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if we get another trailer for the game, perhaps something that reveals a bit more of the game’s story.

In surprising news, the panel’s description also revealed that Baker will be voicing Jabba the Hutt. It’s not too surprising that Jabba is in this game, given that it is set in the Star Wars underworld and we saw in the gameplay demo that Kay Vess will be heading to Tatooine, but it’s cool to get the confirmation all the same.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Dee Bradley Baker has voiced Jabba the Hutt in an animated project. While he never voiced the character when he appeared in The Clone Wars, he did voice the Hutt in the cancelled Star Wars Detours animated series that was never officially released beyond an initial trailer.

Here’s the full description of the Star Wars: Outlaws panel.

Brought to you by Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars Outlaws follows the high-stakes life of rookie scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion Nix in the first-ever open-world Star Wars game. Julian Gerighty (creative director, Ubisoft), Matt Martin (Sr. creative executive, franchise story and content at Lucasfilm), Navid Khavari (narrative director, Ubisoft), and voice talent Humberly González (Kay Vess), Dee Bradley Baker (Nix, Jabba the Hutt), and Jay Rincon (ND-5) share more about the galaxy of opportunity that awaits you in Star Wars Outlaws. Moderated by Chastity Vicencio (Ubisoft News).

Hasbro will also have an hour-long Star Wars panel at SDCC the day before at 14:00 on Friday, July 21. With Ahsoka around the corner, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect some toy announcements related to the upcoming Disney Plus series, considering the panel’s description teases some “surprises”. Who knows, perhaps there might be a cool crossover with Star Wars: Outlaws to announce?

The panel also says that there will be some discussion around the ever-popular Black Series and The Vintage Collection toy lines.

Patrick and Jing from Hasbro marketing and Chris and Eric from Hasbro design discuss the popular Hasbro Star Wars line, including the Black Series and The Vintage Collection. Attendees will get an in-depth look at Hasbro’s latest action figure and premium roleplay offerings from throughout the saga. Word on the Holonet is there may also be a few surprises.

With other Star Wars panels at SDCC focusing on Andor, the music in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Wars collectibles, trading card collecting, the 501st Legion and plenty more, there should be plenty to keep Star Wars fans excited.
