‘The Mandalorian’: New Poster Promoting Season 3 Arrives

The time is coming. Another new poster hyping up the return of The Mandalorian next month has arrived, showcasing the title character, his little green friend, and their new spaceship.

Minutes ago, Lucasfilm unveiled another look at the third season of The Mandalorian, set after series protagonist Din Djarin and his adorable, scene-stealing alien son Grogu reunited in the spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett during the Battle of Mos Espa. While Grogu received some training from Luke Skywalker, to whom Djarin entrusted care of his foundling son, the Jedi Master realized the child needed his parent more than becoming a Jedi. And that came in handy as he was able to use his skills to stop a rampaging Rancor. While on Tatooine, Djarin got a new ship in the form of a modified N-1 starfighter, and headed out to Mandalore to seek atonement for breaking one of his vows.

Check out the official poster below:

While the decision to have the big reunion on a spin-off show has raised a few eyebrows, the new season aims to hit the ground running with its move to continue the Mandalorian and Grogu’s journey together, while the subplot of the New Republic’s attempts to uncover the growing threat of gathering Imperial forces begins to come into focus.

The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, and Amy Sedaris, and will feature episodes directed by Weathers, Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard. Showrunner Jon Favreau wrote all eight episodes of the upcoming season, co-writing with Dave Filoni on two of the episodes, and co-writing with The Book of Boba Fett veteran Noah Kloor on one.

The Mandalorian returns to Disney Plus on March 1, 2023. Both of the previously released seasons of the show, alongside the spin-off The Book of Boba Fett, are available to watch exclusively on the streaming service.
