‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ Among PlayStation Plus’ January 2023 Lineup of Free Games
PlayStation Plus’ January 2023 lineup of free games has been unveiled, and it includes EA Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
The final days of each month always signal the reveal of the next batch of free games for PS Plus subscribers (no matter the sub tier), and the first selection of 2023 is pretty solid, with Fallout 76, Axiom Verge 2, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order being added to the digital libraries of those who claim them before the offer expires at the start of February. For those unfamiliar with how PS Plus’ offerings work: these games will remain in your library “forever”, meaning you’ll be able to access them as long as you’re subbed to Sony’s online service for the PlayStation consoles. If you jump out, the games remain attached to your account but locked until you resub.
For Star Wars fans who hadn’t played Fallen Order yet, this is a golden opportunity to catch up on Cal Kestis’ story before Survivor launches. And for those who have sung its praises for three years, this is a nice opportunity to revisit it on PS4 or PS5.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released in November 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A free next-gen update was released in summer 2021, accompanied by physical PS5 and Xbox Series X/S copies for next-gen collectors who hadn’t grabbed the action-adventure game yet. Its long-awaited sequel, Jedi: Survivor, arrives on March 17, 2023, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
