Sana Starros Gets Her Own ‘Star Wars’ Comic Run in 2023
Sana Starros is officially getting her own solo comic run in February 2023.
Sana Starros will be five issues long according to GamesRadar, the same as the recent Obi-Wan comic series, though we don’t know exactly what it will be about yet. The story will be written by Justina Ireland, known for writing multiple High Republic novels and a few Star Wars comic one-shots and anthology stories. It will be illustrated by Pere Pérez. Whether it follows a flashback format like Obi-Wan or a linear format remains to be seen, though some story boards for the comic have been shared as part of the announcement, showing Sana journeying to an abandoned facility presumably in search of something.
Two alternative covers have also been released. Check them out below alongside the story boards:
Sana Starros was first introduced to Star Wars fans as Han Solo’s secret wife — an unenviable introduction inviting inevitable comparisons with Leia Organa, but the marriage was quickly explained as part of a scam, and Sana has gone to have many encounters with our favorite Rebel heroes.
She’s clashed with Han, been hired by Leia to work for the Republic, and worked alongside Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian. Most recently, she’s spent the last couple of years working alongside Doctor Aphra in her own comic run, well apart from the mainstream heroes.
Looking back at all her adventures since her introduction, it’s hardly surprising that she’s finally been rewarded with her own solo series.
