‘Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi’ New Trailer Arrives, Series Premieres October 26th

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is currently flying very much under the radar as we hear more about the various offerings coming from Lucasfilm in the near future. The upcoming animated anthology series will see new (and partial novel adaptations) stories from the lives of Count Dooku and Ahsoka. Now, we know exactly when these tales will come into the limelight.

Straight from the Lucasfilm presentation at D23, the official trailer has dropped and revealed the series will premiere in its entirety on October 26th. It is the same trailer that was shown at Star Wars Celebration, but it’s now available to the public as well. Check it out below!

The limited series comprises six shorts; three of each will focus on Count Dooku and Ahsoka across different periods of their lives. In the Dooku episodes, we will see him during his Jedi days and what could very well be the last of them. A number of Clone Wars veterans will be returning to their voice roles, including Corey Burton as the future Sith Lord, with Liam Neeson returning in at least one short to bring his voice once again to Dooku’s former apprentice, Qui-Gon Jinn.

Ashley Eckstein returns to voice Ahsoka, with the former Jedi’s episodes also including the period of time before she joined the Jedi Order. Janina Gavankar, who voiced Iden Versio in Star Wars: Battlefront II, is playing the role of Ahsoka’s mother. The trailer also confirms Matt Lanter will be back as the voice of Anakin Skywalker. And we will, at one point, see Ahsoka’s encounter with the Sixth Brother, an inquisitor we met in 2016’s Ahsoka novel.

Tales of the Jedi remains a beloved Legends comic series, and it will be exciting to see where this new take on that concept takes us. Stay tuned for more updates on Tales of the Jedi as we approach that October 26th release date.
