Pedro Pascal Reveals the Mandalorian’s Name
The mysterious lone gunslinger, only known as “The Mandalorian” has a name, and it has been revealed in the most surprising of places; not in a leak forum, or fan blog, but by the man who plays him! I am not sure I can even call this a spoiler if the lead actor of the show is revealing it, but if you don’t want to know, then obviously don’t proceed.
In a surprising reveal, especially for a Star Wars project, at 2:33 in the video below, Pedro Pascal bluntly and simply says, “The Mandalorian, whose name is Din Jaron (sp?), is your iconic, cool, flawed, lone gunslinger.”
We are not positive on the spelling of course, though I found “Din” and “Jaron” both previously used in Star Wars, and we know how they like to do tributes and callbacks at times, so we’ll go with that for now. We’ll update it if the proper spelling comes out and differs from this.
So the man with no name has a name! It’s a bit surprising to hear Pascal reveal this, which to this point has clearly been a purposely kept secret. I imagine he’ll continue to be called the Mandalorian at least for a solid chunk of the season, but a name reveal by season’s end sounds likely. We’ll see how it rolls on as Chapter 2 of The Mandalorian debuts Friday!
