On today’s exciting episode of The Star Wars Show:

Andi and Anthony interviewed the cast and director of The Last Jedi, asking them more unorthodox questions. A new short behind the scenes clip for The Last Jedi was revealed, showing Anthony Daniels teaching extras how to act as waiter droids in the Canto Bight casino scene from the movie. Also it was announced that as it was with The Force Awakens and Rogue One, The Last Jedi World Premiere will be live streamed on on December 9th, starting at 5 pm PST.

Our own John Hoey will be heading to Los Angeles on December 9th for the premiere, so be sure to be following our Twitter account @starwarsnewsnet as we will be sharing impressions from the event as well as a NON-SPOILER reaction to the film when the social media embargo ends at 9:30 pm PST!

Just for kicks, try sharing your social media reaction 1 minute before the embargo lifts. You’re all rebels, aren’t you? Hee hee, hoo hoo!!!

      Maybe they’re just resistance?

      • December 7, 2017 at 1:21 am

I’ve never met a Resistance fighter before. Who could tell what they look like?

        • December 7, 2017 at 2:52 am

Well technically they would look like Stormtroopers, because Stormtroopers fight the Resistance and therefore are ‘resistance fighters’. Finn is a Stormtrooper, so they must therefore look like him. Some look different.

Those black waiter droids reminded me of the robots from The Black Hole (Ask your dad about it).

Both share a lot, maybe the inspiration came from there.

The Black Hole, Disney’s first attempt at a Star Wars movie.

      • December 7, 2017 at 3:55 am

        Botched attempt.

Yeah, disposable fluff. All I really remember about it, is the droids that look like vacuum cleaners, and the evil killer robot.

I enjoyed it at the time but the highlight of the trip to the cinema that day was the Star Wars 2 trailer before the film.

          • December 7, 2017 at 7:31 pm

I can imagine. Back then the main source of trailers was the actual cinema. I can’t remember when I saw TESB trailer. I’m sure I must have seen it before the release.

Yes, they remind me of something…

Although the Star Wars Show is generally cheesy, the bit with the Praetorian Guards did make me laugh.

So, the world premier to this little movie is in 3 days time.

  • December 7, 2017 at 2:54 am

    Those droids look amazing.

  • December 7, 2017 at 10:49 pm

Those robots… Is this a Tron crossover?

I loathe Anthony Daniels…he is the most arrogant asshole you could ever meet. Even the cast cant stand him. Now he thinks he is a Disney Princess….He cant even do his C3PO voice corectly anymore, whenever he tries to do the 3PO voice now i cringe…he sounds like a friggin tool when he does it.. and his total disrespect of Kenny Baker is unforgivable. i hope they kill 3PO off in this one.

Much anger in this one. Sad!
