Rian Johnson also teases us with a sneak peak image of the opening crawl to The Last Jedi. We hear speculation a trailer may already be in production. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story passes $1B USD in the box office and become the third Star Wars film to do so. Rogue One also managed to snag two Oscar nominations and we dive deep into our predictions on who will win in those categories. We talk about Han Solo beginning to film in March and the many implications that it could have in the release timeline. We dive deep into Rebels with a deep discussion on “Trials of the Darksaber” and also about the hiatus until “Legacy of Mandalore” and what we expect to see in the furthers arcs of season 3.
We also talk about the return of Cad Bane in the upcoming issue of Darth Vader #3 and Captain Phasma entrance into Poe Dameron #13 and what that all means for continuity sake. Two new upcoming novels in May will dive deeper into the lore of Rogue One with one being Jyn’s story that appears to take place around the time she is with Saw Gerrera and his militia as well a book about Baze and Chirrut at a middle-grade reading level.
