That thing is a droid model we’ve seen in the clone wars, just different appearance. to match with the series’ look.

I love that back shot of the Rebel fleet makes me feel proud that there are people who stand up against the Imperial scum

I watched this episode this morning on the Watch Disney XD app. It’s pretty meh, to be honest. The background info on Chopper is cool, and his interaction with AP-5 is cool, but not much else. As far as the overarching story of this season goes, this episode is filler. Interesting filler, but still filler. Hopefully Mystery of Chooper Base will build up some momentum before the season finale.

Was it truly Yavin 4 at the end ?
If yes it will greatly clear continuity in Star Wars. And this episode is definitely not filler.

I would expect Dantooine before Yavin.

I think Dantooine was ruse all the time.

Only idiotic writers in The Force Unleashed make actual base out of it.

Sorry, but it never was a ruse:
          1) Dantooine has been Canon as a Rebel Base that was abandoned since 1977. LONG before the TFU writers you speak of. You could once have said Leia was possibly lying (which I never believed) except,
          2) It was recently reinforced and expanded upon in the novel Lost Stars that it was formerly a rebel base with equipment abandoned and everything, which the Empire takes over.

I am also curious as to why you think it was “idiotic” writing for a base there?

Chopper would be the most natural choice for a Rogue One cameo seeing as how they already have his character built and he’s a lot less cartoonish looking than Sabine, Zeb, or Jedi Aladdin.

You’re complaining about how cartoonish looking animated characters are?

This is a whole new level of awesome going on.

I’m okay with it in animation and understand the need for stylization but putting them in the OT era would be nearly as jarring as the 90’s CG in the special editions or PT Anakin in Jedi.

If I had to choose though, I think Chopper would fit in best since they can make him part if the droid pool and he has a quasi-70’s/80’s look to him. The other characters look too modern and would clash too much against the color scheme they used in IV-VI.

Kallus would work maybe with his long sideburns though.

My best friend looks like Ezra minus the hair color. You’d be surprised.

Also, have you seen costumes for Rogue One? Some of it is classic, some of it is going to slightly out of place.

Some of the main characters look Scy-Fy movie-ish but that’s sort of synonymous with low budget which I can buy since the galaxy was sort of in a Depression then. Long as they stay away from over the top PT type of wardrobes.

Maybe Chopper will appear somewhere in Rogue One, which may be why a working model of him was built. And his appearance in the Rebels Recon video could be hinting at this.

Back before Rebels premiered, a trailer showed us the planet that would become the Starkiller planet in The Force Awakens.

Nope. But it’s a very safe bet it’s not Yavin.

Watch the episode. I’m absolutely 100% certain that is Yavin.

Really? Well, if you saw the preview for next week’s episode, you would have noticed the Kinrath. And guess where they live?

You had to watch the episode. It was the 15 second clip that aired during the credits. I am sure we will see them in a future clip, though, before next week’s episode.

I watched the episode and there was no clip.
Also, couldn’t it just have been on Yavin itself?

Did you watch it on Disney XD when it aired, like I said above? That’s the only place/ time I have seen that clip.

Also, Kinrath aren’t even canon yet. If they even are Kinrath, they could easily add them to another planet. (They lived on Kashyyyk and Dantooine in the Legends continuity, I’m sure you can squeeze Yavin in there)

Yavin’s cloud appear to be orange, a reflection from the gas in the atmosphere, the clouds in the image here are white.

Also, while it’s hard to make out, it seems like there are rocky surface features on the planet surface amidst the orange spaces.

It’s Dantooine. Guarantee it with the kinrath in the preview clip.
