UPDATE! Final Day for Star Wars: Episode VIII Filming in Dubrovnik

ДУБРОВНИКToday is the last day of the Star Wars: Episode VIII filming in Dubrovnik. The final shots are expected to be made in the next 8 hours. So far today it’s been pretty quite, but have a look at these several new photos from yesterday…

First, one of our readers posted this set of photos in our comments section, that has some really curious prop elements spread out on one of Dubrovnik’s smaller streets:

You can check the whole gallery HERE.

Also DailyMail posted several clearer photos from the filming that happened on the Sea Star ship. The only new thing was another cool looking alien that was talking with the cat-like creature that we mentioned a few days ago:

Stay tuned for any new reports from Dubrovnik later today…

Our friends from TheDubrovnikTimes posted a new cool video with the preparation of the filming in Dubrovnik:

Today on news here in Croatia, they said Dubrovnik scene will be only 3 minutes short in the movie, that’s just impossible, plus they will decide how long it will be when final cut is done, but they spent 40 million$ just for 3 minutes? That’s just ridiculous

I’m sure they’ll use it more in editing process, as well as on the green screen in the studios. I can imagine Daisy, Mark and others performing in Pinewood the same scenes that took place in Dubrovnik. Just like it was the case in Episode VII with Starkiller, Takodana etc.

$40 million is more than the entire budget of Return of the Jedi. Even with inflation factored in it would be half the budget of Jedi.

They don’t know what they are talking about. Trust me, the scene will not be 3 min. long.:)

That scene of nobles chatting on the yacht reminded me of similar scenes from the Mass Effect 2 DLC: Kasumi – Stolen Memory.

Pop-o-matic Bubble? Looks like a Core World or maybe some kind of resort. We saw enough of the frontier in the OT and the last one that it’s time we see some civilization again.

Partial set on the boat. lady with Opera glasses, reflects all of the formality seen elsewhere.
But what is she looking at, something on the city walls? A show of sorts on the ‘boat’.
This whole set up in Croatia looks like an ”assasination attempt” to me. Where has Carrie Fisher been this past week?
