These interviews are getting to the point where I feel like i’m watching the interview scene from Notting Hill.

It’s part of the job. Press junkets come with the territory. I do agree though… his expression.. “Oh, I’ve NEVER been asked THAT before.” Priceless.

I know the actors got to do it as part of their contract – but you’d think the interviewers would try to come up with something a little more original.
Maybe – “Does Chewie have fleas?” hard hitting questions like that 🙂

Mark is lucky though, he doesn’t have to do all these insanely boring interviews yet the world is waiting for him with arms (legs?) wide open.

Cool. I’m sure they are all so bored of doing these interviews. What a easy job. Be in Star Wars talk about it to the world sit back and chill and collect that fat check. Ahh the easy life

Of course they’re being paid well, but I don’t think these press junkets are exactly easy. I’ve heard lots of stories about how it goes: sometimes, you sit in a room all day while an endless parade of journalists come in for 2, 5, 10 minute interviews, asking the same questions ad nauseum.

Q: “How does it feel to be part of such a huge franchise?”
A: Some version of “Amazing!!! You have to see this movie!!”

Q: “What was it like working with Harrison Ford?”
A: Again, some version of “Amazing!!! You have to see this movie!!”

Q: “What can you tell us about your character?”
A: (Some completely vague and uninformative thing, lest you be tarred and feathered by a team of Lucasfilm publicists and lawyers.)

Q: “What was the hardest part about working on this movie?”
A: Some version of “It wasn’t hard, it was nonstop orgasmic fun. Did I mention: you have to see this movie!!”

Repeat over and over and over again for 10 hours until you hope some nutbag reporter comes in and calls you a cunt to your face, just to have some goddamn variety…

I’m getting so bored with these questions. So generic and bland.

I’m still waiting for an interview with John Willaims… Would love to hear what he has to say. 🙂

Agreed. Would love to hear him speak finally. Finally getting to the point where the interviewers are all asking the same thing, and the cast are repeating the answers we’ve heard them give 100 times now. Just ready for the movie to be here now! 🙂

I’ve called it already in The Cantina but watching Gwendoline Christie’s interviw I am convinced SHE is the cyborg of this movie…they had cyborgs in various concept art and I think they had it in mind for Kylo Ren…but…Phasma is a previous concept costume for Kylo and my belief is they kept the cyborg part of that concept.

Listen to the was she explains how she had to think about how she moved, stood, made gestures etc.

Carrie Fisher’s answer was good as far as the fan’s reception.

One of two things will happen, you’re going to be disappointed no matter what, expecting some life changing experience. Or, if you go into the movie just to reacquaint yourself with some old friends that get into these situations that are incredibly exciting then you’ll love it.
