Where is your reference that this information is in fact True/Cannon? To this point I have read the same, as a rumor on multiple sites. At this point it is speculation. I think it would be cool if it is in fact true but please site your source. Thanks.
If you’ve actually read Darth Plagueis you’d know that there are several reasons why that cannot be.

So, basically a female Han Solo? I’m sorry but to me that’s just uninteresting. Solo is a character that appeals to both the male and female audience; he’s a charming, adventurous scoundrel. They should just focus on a new angle.

or maybe there is indeed a scene where we meet a fraction the old empire ?
I think it would be awesome if certain fragments of the old empire turned against the First Order uprising and sided with the resistance, painting and taking apart their old imperial armor and creating a whole new look; which would explain Rey’s storm trooper visor goggles.
