Darth Maul is dead. He was cut in half and fell down a never ending shaft. Bringing him back… or bringing half of him back is stupid, to put it simply. ffs if he comes back has no penis or balls. he probably lost his will to fight. New character pls.

I agree that they should have left him dead, but it would hardly be the first time someone in the Star Wars canon survived certain death. I actually quite like the EU take on the idea of sith having “eternal hatred”. Their passion gives them strength to survive a fatal blow. Darth Vader, Maw, Maul. Heck even grevious got blown to pieces and lived and he didn’t even have the force!

but really maul was brought back by something stronger than the force: fanboys. People complained about how underused maul was in until finally writers brought him back. I call it the “boba fett effect”

John Campea is such a dick. Every week, every singe thing is a negative to him. Every thing is put down, is skewed in a way that he can bitch about. Im so sick of it, dude learn to enjoy the very thing you are supposedly love the most. It just is like he gives voice to every troll out there, how can everything new in Star Wars be such a damn bummer to him man? I don’t get it.

You obviously have no idea about what Campea is all about. If anyone LOVES star wars it is this guy. Thus the reasons he is a little concerned about some things. Which is totally understandable. Just because you love SW does not mean you have to praise every little detail to come out. He is paid money to look at things from all angles. Also he just praised the hell out of Rebels so obviously he is not negative about everything. I also think he drove like a couple of thousands miles to watch Episode I in this favorite theater because that is how much he loves this stuff. So please do not label someone a voice of trolls because he is voices a little bit of concern.

His attitude sucks man, and if that opinion about him makes me a “troll” so be it lol. I love Star Wars, im not a fan of John Campea. I’ve watched every episode of JC, and a lot of the popcorn talk, and AMC movie/super hero shows, and yeah everything he says has a negative connotation. Every time someone asks his opinion it’s shaded in negativity and I just think why even be a fan of something then? If you can barely muster enjoyment rather than complaining about everything, idk a lot of people are like that though. Whatever floats your boat. But I for one am in this to ENJOY myself. and if you are a talking head for fandom itself, in my opinion, he just makes fans look petty and shallow. ALWAYS dissatisfied. It gets old

He does not complain about everything. Go watch his AOU review and his reaction to the Star Wars trailer. His reaction to Ben Affleck as Batman. His Man of Steel review. His reaction to Rebels in the video above you somehow ignored. All super positive and that is why he has such a strong following. This dude is not what I would consider a negative troll at all. He gives his thoughts. You are confusing voicing concern with being a troll. Just because he says a few things you do not like or disagree with does not mean you can come on a website and troll him with false statements.

Ive watched all his stuff from popcorn talk, to amc movies, super heros, to JC from episode 1. And sure I don’t agree with almost anthing he says but I don’t like the way he portrays Star Wars fandom. That’s MY opinion and I can very well write that in a relevant comment lol. Who are you to tell me what I can and cant say? I just think he takes criticism too far, like I see a lot nowadays. And I think it’s pretty ballsy to hate on such a strong female character as Ahsoka like that. Like Star Wars has been in need of a well rounded female role model for decades, and somehow she isn’t good enough for Mr. Campea. Not only that he somehow despises her. I find it baffling. But luckily most of fandom does not agree with him. I just hope he can curve his pessimistic attitude a little in the future. I am a fan to enjoy myself, not wallow in misery and hate about every little thing.

A good alternative in my mind is like the Rebel Force Radio guys, Full of Sith, Coffee with Kenobi, Star Wars Underworld, The Force Cast, Now this is podcasting, I don’t always agree with them, but they don’t drag Star Wars through the proverbial mud. They don’t sit on high judging everything like Campea. I just wanted to share, in my opinion, a way it could be done more respectfully.

Then you get mad at Campea and try to tell him what he can and cannot say when he voices an opinion. You sir are a hypocrite.

If you think Campea is not a Star Wars geek then you obviously did not see him talking about that old role playing game from back in the day. That dude is just like us.

Theres a difference between what he said and being a geek lol Johns attitude does leave a lot to be desired. I cant stand fans that just have to hate on everything, find faults in everything, how nothing “matches” or equals their vision of what Star Wars cannon is aka hating on the new cannon. Idk my opinion, obviously he is knowledgeable about Star Wars lol. That fact was never in question. Just very distasteful. I look at Harloff and others see them go about it in a much more respectful manner. I cant stand Campea.

You are ignoring all the times pointed to you above that he has not been negative but rather extremely positive. So I encourage you to not run your mouth saying he is always negative when that is just a flat out false statement. Did you even watch his reaction to the Rebels? If you did you would know how wrong you really are about him being negative about EVERYTHING. If you do not like him do not watch the videos and do not come here and troll his character. Simple as that.

Glad to see other people feel the same way about Campea as I do. I can not stand him. He is negative and and acts like Lucasfilm owes him an apology for the prequels or anything else he doesn’t like. When you dive into his bio you really see what a douche and failure he really is. He wanted to be this great preacher and have his own mega church. He failed at that soooo he tried to become a lawyer. Interesting to go from a righteous profession to a sleaze bag one. But he dropped out of Law School because he couldn’t cut it. Then he wanted to be this great filmmaker and made a movie called The Anniversary. Talk about a piece of crap movie and it’s filled with anal sex jokes, funny for a former wannabe preacher. Also while making this movie John brags about making a sex tape on set and accidentally leaves the tape in the camera and other people watched it. Again funny for a preacher. If you watch this AMC Jedi council you will see how he gets super preachy when he talks about his “love” of Star Wars. I will be happy when he’s gone from Jedi Council and AMC in general.

I think that AMC’s Jedi Council will be better when John Campea is gone and in Star Wars: Uprising, I think that Imperial Governor Adelhard is covering up the emperor’s death until they find a new leader, possibly Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars: Aftermath.

What a surprise john hates something. But hating Ahsoka? One of the most loved characters now, of all. Just keep making yourself more and more popular, every episode. But even just the way he says he hates her, the disgust you see in his face, the seething hate. What a disgrace he is doing to her character, and to Star Wars in general.

It is one thing to dislike her character.. (but how could anyone Ahsoka is awesome!). It is another thing to HATE a fictional character. HATE. Putting that much negative passion into a fictional character is just a child like attitude to have.

Peter, quit writing responses as multiple aliases. We get it, you don’t like Campea because he is apparently negative all the time (which is a completely idiotic statement). Ironically, I don’t like you because you seem to only be spreading negativity in the comment section.

Bring on the Obi-Wan trilogy. Bring on the Han Solo vs. Boba Fett space western action flick! Shuffle in some Lando, deception, crazy fight scenes, the Millennium Falcon, wit, hot Twi’leks, and lazer brains and scoundrels, and you’ve got yourself an awesome movie!

We do NOT need a Boba Fett han Solo movie….it should be a TV series. I could not think of anything more boring and lame than a movie about a young Han Solo and Boba Fett.90% of the planet will hate Disney for replacing Harrison Ford…even if it is a young Solo…nobody can do Han like Ford..NOBODY.. and i also agree I CANNOT stand John.I dont expect anyone to like EVERYTHING that has a Star Wars brand on it…but for the most part..i think this guy is a huge negative dickhead. most of the time it feels like he disagrees, just for the sole purpose of disagreeing. he becomes a complete tool about a topic, fights tooth and nail why it sucks or is gonna suck…then the next episode you se him eat his words and agree that it was good..LOLOLOL..just hearing his voice makes me want to smack him.I dont think he understands ANYTHING about Star Wars…they need to just get rid of that guy…nobody likes him, as soon as i saw he was on this episode i just hit stop. BRING MAUDE BACK!!!!

I think John has every right to feel the way he does, but I do agree that he is very negative about almost everything other than the OT. He needs to lighten up! He does get a bit predictable. Honestly not my favorite member of the council, but I do think he deserves to be there and voice his opinion.
