The Latest Rumored Episode VII Concept Art Looks Very Familiar.

star-wars21

Indie Revolver shared another supposedly Episode VII concept art that looks very similar to a story we posted a few moths ago here on SW7N…

Here’s Indie Revolver’s latest post suggesting that this is a concept art from Episode VII:

Concept Art

And here’s what we shared with you a few months ago:

POTENTIAL SPOILERS

Several Episode VII action sequences presumably seen on a few pre-vis materials…

– the sequence was set on a planet like ‘a cross between Hoth and Endor’ – tall trees capped with snow and snow covered ground.

– the Millennium Falcon was parked on a cliff above the wooded area, with a Jedi and Sith (both male) battling uphill towards the Falcon. The scene was oddly lit, possibly suggestive of the Falcon being on fire.

– a further scene, set in a clearing on this same planet, showed an older male Jedi and male Sith – his head bare and lower face covered by a half mask ‘reminiscent of CA’s Winter Soldier’ – squaring off before a duel. The poster said the scene had a ‘Samurai movie feel’, and was under the impression that the male Jedi was Luke.

– the poster seemed to think that SW7 will be massively scaled down, with limited Jedi and Sith (two or three) and little to no sign of the massed battles of the PT.

– finally, the poster described a female Jedi exiting a crashed X-wing like craft, lightsaber drawn and ready to fight. Not sure if this was on the same planet.

Now you be the judge if this gives even more credibility to the rest of the story above or if this is just a fan-made depiction of the described sequence.

It’s a very interesting scene. Is Han injured/dying in the crash, or is Luke going to die ala Qui Gon (From that star wars movie that doesn’t exist).

Really love this. Especially if the falcon is indeed on fire in the background. Star wars is definitely at it’s best when it’s dark and gritty. I’ll be routing for Luke in that duel so much I’ll probably have a heart attack.

I think it is meant to be red. The colors in this piece of production art are somewhat subdued or washed-out, that’s all.

In the book, Star Wars: The Jedi Path, it explains that originally, the different coloured sabers meant different Jedi status. Yellow meant the wielder was a Jedi Sentinel. “While adherents to the Force and all that it could do, Sentinels were not blinded by faith and realized that the mystical energy field did have its limitations. Typically opting for missions requiring them to stay in a single place for long periods of time, the Sentinels would take on assignments not suited to the other Jedi branches.[1]

The rarely lit lightsabers of the Sentinels usually produced a yellow blade.” Look them up on Wookieepedia for more info.

If Luke or any classic character dies, everybody will cry like a baby in the theater.

I don’t think a classic character will die in episode 7. I think they will die in 8 or 9 despite what happened in the previous films. I think they introduce a character to die and serve the Obi-Wan role. It’s worth mentioning here that in the scene shot on Skellig Daisy was alone, whereas earlier all her scenes were with the other character. It’s worth asking why?

Or worse still, Optimus Prime, who I’m fairly sure dies in every single Trandformers film, then mysteriously turns up again later with no real explanation. Or maybe I just fell asleep during each of them, missed key plot moments, and ended up thinking they were rubbish….

If you are looking for some one to take the force spirit side. Here is a twist. Han becomes mortally wounded at the end, trying to save Luke. Luke realizing Han is dying, gives a blood transfusion, using his blood full of the force to save Han. The blood does not save his life. But it does allow Han to become one with the force. Now the grumpy force spirit.

There was one in Dark Forces 2 Jedi Knight and it looked cool.
It’s a very strong color and definetively something missing so far.
Red and Blue is obvious, next comes green which always gave a more wisdom kind of feeling. But my next choice would be orange.
Surely not pink… or ember or turqoise or …well white could actually portray something interesting. Like the ultimatey wise Jedi Elder (ala Gandalf the White..)
But there you see I’ve made my thoughts and I always wanted an orange one

Everyone says Luke will be the “Obi- Wan” role and die ala Qui Gon and Ben. But If the rumors are true of Han leading the young cast in a mission to find Luke, I have a feeling that Han will be the “Obi-Wan” esque character of this film and will die (like Ford and Kasdan have wanted to do since the 80s) in the end. I have a feeling Luke will live on to see at least Ep VIII.

You have to think about the purpose of the characters death. In both the prequels and the original trilogy it was partly watching their masters die that stopped Obi-wan, via the offer from Dooku, and Luke, via the offer from Vader, from falling to the dark side. This type of literary function does not have to be performed by a Jedi, almost any character who is good, killed by one of the principal villains would serve that purpose. It could be Han, but I think its more likely a character we have not met yet.

Obi-Wan should’ve fallen to the dark side for killing Maul out of anger and revenge after he fatally wounded Qui-Gon. Did no one on the Jedi Council find it important enough to make sure Obi-Wan’s heart was in the right place?

Anyone else notice that it waz saying…..

JEDI FIGHTING THE SITH ? So if thats true and Luke, or whomever is fighting Sith, that clearly means ANAKIN waz not the so called chosen one who destroyed the Sith cause the dam Sith still around. So BOO YA to all you wierd peeps who think a child of light will turn dark first, then change back. BS !!! the dark child has been and waz and is now gone…. the real child of light ( chosen one ) will be in this trilogy somewhere down the road….. i cant believe how some of you can say Anakin was the one after killing children in the Temple…. obviously some of you never paid any attention to what excatly Palpatine waz telling Anakin in ep.3 . And YES LUCAS PUT THAT SCENE IN HIMSELF… the only reason he said before Anakin waz , was to sell those extra tickets making all think that the prequels was the last of the saga…. HA HA BOO YA…. Lucas okd the Darth Plaguies book.. He okd the scene about Darth Plaguies. What in the world did u think Lucas was doing for episode 7, 8 and 9 ?….think about it…

Lucas should’ve set up Anakin being the Chosen One in a simple and well-explained manner throughout all six movies if he wanted to go in this direction.

at Anon 4:30 am…… do your research bro…
Lucas might have said Anakin was, but he also once said Leia wasnt Lukes sister until he changed it in ep. 6.. he also said Vader and Anakin was 2 different people before he changed it in ep.5 ….. also, Lucas himself wrote the script that put Darth Plaguies and his creation of life in ep.3 .
so what does that tell u ?… Lucas like to change things as he goes and likes to make ya think one way and give ya another…. and if your excuse is always Lucas said that…. then explain why Lucas put in the scene about Darth Plaguies and a child he created using the dark side of the force ?…. he even allowed the book about Plaguies to be in Star Wars family…. so explain ?…. thats what i thought.. u need to watch the prequels agin and do more research yourself…

the chosen one is meant to bring balance to the galaxy. and not destroying the sith. there were too many jedi so to bring balance he had to kill most of them.
it is never said in the prophecy that the chosen one will safe the galaxy, has to be a jedi nor will be on the good site.

            ps.

i think its not about the number of persons,

Genius.

From where I see it, we should be more or less happy with whatever they do since they’re giving us all the basics of what we want: most of the OT cast stars, good indie actors, less cgi, more focus on characters and story,.. I hope there is a lot of betrayal too… Loss would help ground it all too. My favorite part of the prequels is when qui gon jin (probably spelled wrong) dies and Obi Wan has to avenge him. My other favorite part was when Obi wan confronts Anakin and cuts his arms and legs off and you see that hes completely corrupted by hatred. Naturally, the OT was chock full of highs and lows from swashbuckling to badassery, chadenfreude, love, loss, sacrifice, fighting for ideals and freedom .. Would be cool to see these emotional highs and lows again and I feel this is what we are going to get.

Notice JJ 1:57 am that when Obi-Wan cuts off Anakins arms, etc that he says….

” you were supposed to be the chosen one ! it said you would destroy the sith, not join them ! ” just making a point…. also, earlier in the movie when Lucas puts this scene in when Obi-Wan asked why Mace and Yoda didnt trust him…
Obi-Wan …. isnt he supposed to be the chosen one ? ”
Mace Windu…. ” thats what the prophecy says.. ”
      Yoda…. ” a prophecy misread perhaps..”
…..and that was right from Lucas own script.. thank u….. its obvious that the Jedi was mislead like the rest of us…. Palaptin did say to Anakin…
” the dark side is a pathway to many abilities some considered to be un-natural ”
the darkside has no boundries when it comes to dark force magic like the Jedi has…

+ I always hated Luke with a green light sabre id love to see a scene of him replacing the green crystal inside with a blue one like in the middle of a fight it runs out of power we have never seen that happen in the movies:)

    The Jedi prophecy :

” In the time of great despair,
    a child will be born
    who will destroy the sith
and bring balance to the force. ”

To me the child born in that time sounds more like Luke than Anakin. And just because the Emperor and Vader died, doesnt mean that all the sith were destroyed.. I mean did Japan fall when the Emperor was defeated ? Did China fall when Emperors fell over time ? Did the USA fall when the president dies ? Did Germany dissapear forever after WW 2 ? think about it… Emperors and Leaders come and go. Same in the Star Wars saga. Mark Hamill even said in a recent interview that Lucas made Star Wars like a Labyrinth. A puzzle. You think you figured it out, and then, another suprise comes. So if Sith are still around, the Sith planet has yet to be seen, then the prophecy isnt fullfilled….

Just had a brain-storm. The green lightsaber dude is probably Luke.
But the other guy is 12 feet tall and carries a lightsaber that could be yellow or orange or BRONZE. if this doesn’t ring any bells I don’t blame you. But this guy could very well be Lewbacca, Chewbacca’s force-sensitive nephew. Lewbacca is the only wookie force user in the now obsolete (or is it?) star wars legends. He is also the ONLY case of a Bronze lightsaber.
Don’t know about you, but Chewbacca’s nephew being trained by Luke alongside the Solo kid(s), and then turning to the dark side, crashing/destroying the beloved ‘Falcon and then attacking Luke sounds AWESOME.

I’m I the only one who thinks that the one with the green lightsaber is a CHILD??
Look again, the guy with the orange who is easily twice the size of the other, looks like he would fit nicely in the cockpit of the m. falcon not too far away.
Likewise, if you look at the ground, the one with the green lightsaber looks like they would be a little short compared to the rebel guy with the blaster bottom left corner.
There is a blatant and intentional size difference between the two duelers, but I wonder if it’s because the green is supposed to be SMALL, not because the other is big. The theory of the green being a CHILD definitely explains and supports the presence of an otherwise unimportant blaster-man, who clearly wants to intervene in the duel.
