Harrison Ford Spotted On 2,500ft Mega Slide Days Before Star Wars: Episode 7 Shooting Resumes.

Harrison FordThe 72 year-old actor was spotted with his family on a 2,500ft mega-slide at the Alpine Slide, near his home in Wyoming. We hope it’s something his doctor has perscribed…

This is just too funny!

From TMZ (via entertainmentwise)

Harrison was reportedly at the park in Jackson hole with his family and must’ve been enjoying some quality time with them, before heading back to film.
harrison-ford-alpine-slide-photos-02-480wJJ Abrams must want to wrap the actor in cotton wool after the first accident, but clearly the star has other ideas. The slide is apparently not some kids ride either and can reach speeds of 30 mph. We’re guessing Ford is feeling better after his accident, if he’s hitting these kinds of rides. Just don’t break anything else?

i REALLY DO HOPE they add a scene in ep.VII where Harrison kicks the door with the leg that was injured to get revenge on tha Falcon 😀

Oh my god…that is actually truly brilliant. They just need a scene where the door get’s stuck when almost closed and he kicks it with the hurt leg and it slams shut. No winking nod to the audience or anything, just a behind the scenes jab. That would bring the house down on opening night.

& also have a twist on his old line “you old piece of junk” when he kicks the Falcon , that would be a huuuuge crowdpleaser 🙂

shooting still hasn’t resumed? when did they go on hiatus 4 weeks ago?

    • August 21, 2014 at 4:38 pm
      Permalink

I’m sure it’s resumed, it’s just that he hasn’t gotten back to the set yet. I’d imagine that not every scene needs his presence, and they’ll knock those out pretty quickly before he shows up again.

J.J. Daisy and Boyega are all in LA. I guess the break is still on. As we know Abrams’ studio based in Santa Monica will do part of the VFX of the movie. Maybe they’re checking some of the already filmed shots with added speciall effects.

I’m sure Disney would want to wrap Harrison up in cotton and keep him nearly immobile until he can be delivered safely back to the studio. Even there he should be lying down between takes, preferably on a soft bed in an isolated room with padded walls — far away from all pointed or fast-moving objects. But apparently Harrison has other plans.

I don’t know why exactly I made this particular connection, but seeing the photo of huge slides down a mountainous region got me thinking of the waterfall scene in The Fugitive, and in turn got me thinking even more just how much I miss this guy being the LEAD actor in a movie. He is awesome.

I do rather hope that he is included in a prominent role throughout all 3 films in the sequel trilogy, as Han and the rest of the OT gang are irreplaceable within the franchise in my eyes.

Seriously, though, this would be very cool if he wasn’t still making ep7. What is he thinking? Does he have no respect for the rest of the people he is working with? It’s pretty selfish for someone who has so many others counting on him, especially after he just recovered from an injury that put a kink in production already.

I guess that if you’re Harrison Ford, you can do pretty much what you want.

If they forgot to write into his contract that he has to stay away from all sorts of even slightly risky activities, or he refused to sign such a contract, there really isn’t much they can do to stop him.

The simple fact is that they need him more than he needs them. They know it, he knows it, and they know that he knows.
