About the Show:
The Star Wars Show is hosted by Andi Gutierrez, who also does the Star Wars Rebels-cetric Rebels Recon YouTube series, and Peter Townley, who was found through local San Francisco auditions. “He is a genuine, legitimate, knowledgeable Star Wars fan,” Capoferri says. “Authenticity is right up there at the top of the list when it comes to the company and the show.”
The success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens proved that there’s nothing niche about Star Wars in pop culture anymore, but Capoferri admits that one of their biggest challenges in the seven-minute Star Wars Show episodes is making everybody happy and informed.
Have to say, this show has really grown on me. Best episode yet.
Show is way too long! I can understand it a month or two before a film’s release when they have something interesting to talk about but otherwise it just feels like one unending infomercial. I think it might get more comments and view if they go for quality over quantity.
it’s free
So are ads for Sham-Wow. Doesn’t mean it’s worth watching them.
duhhhhhhh
“It’s free!” is not a good reason to consume something, son.
Were you born an asshole or did you work at it your whole life?
It’s actually an allergic reaction to imbeciles.
Not for long I bet.
My favorite part of this episode was the shameless Finding Dory advertisement. Don’t they know that everyone’s going to see the movie anyway?
With most sequels under-performing this Spring, even Dory can use a little advertising.
Sure. Then again, most sequels aren’t Finding Dory.
I have to ask – is anyone really pumped for this? I mean, I’m a total PIXAR junky, and…meh?
Yes. Basically everyone is pumped for this movie, and it’s projected to have a larger opening weekend than Toy Story 3. If you’re not excited, just look at your own name to find out why.
FYI “TUD and his mom” =/= “everyone”. Seriously though, I’m totally there for Incredibles 2, HTTYD 3, and a bunch of other animated sequels, and I am, no shitting, a total PIXAR junky who loved the first one, but I’m just not feeling this movie for some reason, nor have I heard a lot of clamoring for it from anyone else.
.
(Oh, and I was disappointed with TS3 – I HOPE it’s better than that. An hour and a half of plot covered better in TS2 that ends with a great big sloppy Disney reset of the franchise. Thhhhptppptttt!)
“I was disappointed with TS3”
Get out.
I haven’t even seen Finding Nemo.
Now THAT’S a shaky premise. Or should that be “sharky premise”:)
Snarky Premise 😉
SEE IT NOW.
Years ago I lived with a mate and his partner who had a 3 year old child who watched Toy Story ad infinitum, good film but kinda turned off of animated films. I did see Happy Feet but wasn’t to impressed with it. The only animated film I saw that I really enjoyed was The Incredibles. .
Then you haven’t lived.
TUD, I’m a 44 year old man with no children. I’d feel like a twat walking into Blockbuster to hire out a children’s DVD on my own lol.
Most people would feel like a twat walking into a Blockbuster, mostly because those haven’t existed for like a decade. But in all honesty, it’s worth it.
So worth it.
We still have Blockbuster Video over here although they are a dying breed.
What country are you from? I thought Blockbuster was dead worldwide.
I’m from Australia.
Oh. Cool. Kangaroos, man. They’re pretty cool.
Only when they’re paying for all the drinks.
Well that’s easily explained and it has nothing to do with animated films – Happy Feet is an awful, awful movie, and The Incredibles is sublime.
It didn’t want me to make me kick penguins but I did question the sanity of my friends who loved that film. I think my friend has a copy of Finding Nemo so I’ll grab it off her and have a gander.
Yep…good thing the ‘Star Wars Show’ apparently can’t fill an ~8 minute space w/ ‘Star Wars’; love the animated stuff, but shilling non-SW stuff = Not thrilling…
Struck me about the thing first and only time I’ve watched it – 5 minutes of shameless advertising and 2 minutes with Denis Murren. Pass.
