Maybe he’ll wear jedi robes at the actual show itself. I remember going to this the summer after ROTS came out. Except without Mark, ha.

Since he’s made a way for himself as a legendary voice actor, I really curious to know how he’s going to make Old Luke sound in Ep VII.

He’s holding the lightsaber like he’s a lefty, and it’ looks very awkward, even compared to how he used to hold it as a righty.

He’s not trying to portray Luke Skywalker in the photo. I doubt he’s thinking about it at all.

Mark Hamill is left handed – boy do you people think he really is Luke Skywalker…

Luke had a funny way of holding that glass of blue milk in Episode IV, so I’ll give him a pass with the lightsaber.

Looks like he’s let himself go a bit, looking a little scruffy and doesn’t look like he has had a shave for a while.
Hope he sorts himself out before filming.

If troll: I find your lack of ways to occupy your time disturbing

If not: He’s obviously growing out his beard on purpose to signify Luke’s position as Grand Master of the new Jedi order. He’s been working for quite some time to get in the shape he’s in for this movie.

anyone see the last second of the clip where Billy Dee Williams name showed up behind the announcer as he said “mmmm tasty!” maybe Lando is coming back!?

I think he’s supposed to be there too with Mark. I still think Lando will have a small role in the move. We’ll see.

JJ seems to have gone to great lengths to include all of the OT cast; even Kenny Baker. It would make perfect sense for him to include Bill Dee in some way, even if it’s just a cameo. I’m holding out hope.

It’d certainly make a lot more sense for Lando to be in EpVII than Asajj Ventress…

Kenny played R2. R2 is way more important than Lando. It would be so disappointing to see Lando in ep vii

Of course Artoo is a more essential character than Lando, but give me one good reason why it would be a bad idea to bring back Lando, even as a small role in EpVII. I’m not saying he should be the focal point, but he was an important character in the OT and it’d only make sense for him to be part of the next installment; unless they make a clear point that he dies in the thirty years between VI and VII, lots of fans would be wondering what happened to him. He was a general in the rebel army at the end of VI and lead the attack that destroyed the second death star, so why wouldn’t he have a position of some importance in the new republic?

I’m almost certain Lando will be in it, I’d say they’ll use him as a trump card, maybe he’ll turn up out of nowhere and save the day, maybe late in the movie… maybe not even until the second movie (to parallel ‘Empire Strikes Back’, being the second movie and all.)

Funny how the young say something about his weight. I think he looks great. Enjoy the skinny while you can fellas. I was the same way. Then you get old. How will you look when you are in your 60’s. Hummm…. Mark looks great for his age and will look great on Camera. He is actually slimmer than most folks his age and not even Fat at all.

I believe Episode VII will be the biggest box office movie on record. I think it is going to break records again. Might have to wait in line for weeks like it was for Empire when it first came out.

I remember as a 10 year old sitting in the theater waiting in line two or three weeks after it came out with my brother and father. Sitting in a packed theater with strangers and folks from all over. And hearing applause during scenes and also at the end of the movie. And these were not super fans or UPF’s as Mark stated but rather regular folks in 1980. I haven’t since heard applause in a Movie theater of that magnitude and any applause during a movie today. I believe Episode VII will resurrect that for the industry. They broke ground on Special Effects with Star Wars and blew everyone out of the water with it. I think with JJ and others at the help they are going to a new level again with Special Effects. And will intro a new alternative to a realism without CGI. Just watch folks this will be ground breaking again. Disney knows this and is investing like no other. And will make Zillions off of this years to come… Just you watch…

Not sure how ground-breaking it can possibly be. The sets and practical effects won’t be much different from things we have already seen (the Falcon, alien creatures, etc). The same goes for CGI. CGI space battles, environments, and creatures have been incredible in a number of recent films (like in Star Trek and in The Hobbit with Gollum or Smaug). What haven’t we seen yet?

Mark so looks the role like Alec did, I hope he has a lot of screen time, even though most are banking on Solo dying by the end, I so see him pulling an Obi wan like the end of star wars, maybe he will be a force ghost throughout the trilogy.
Now this leads me to wonder what maybe will be in store being that there could be sith ghosts about. And will those witches be summoning dead Sith?

One thing we haven’t seen yet is flashbacks where the younger version of the character looks exactly identical to the younger version of that actor in a way that’s realistic and captures the subtleties of their performance. Imagine seeing a well acted flashback where Obiwan looked and spoke exactly like 25 year old Alex Guinness and Anakin looked exactly like 12 year old Sebastian Shaw.
