Star Wars: The Force Awakens Duo Reteam For a Project at Paramount

xxmtv1

Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley and director J.J. Abrams are planning to reteam on a new project together. The project titled ‘Kolma’ is a film that has been on the shelf over at Paramount for several years. Abrams apparently fell in love with the project and wanted to produce. The duo of Ridley and Abrams helped The Force Awakens shatter numerous box-office records around the world, helping usher in a new era for the marquee franchise. It makes perfect sense that Paramount would want first-cracks at the now high in-demand actress.

TheWrap is exclusively reporting that an adaptation based on Keren Margalit’s 2003 Israeli movie of the week titled “All I’ve Got” is back up and running over at Paramount. Filmmaker Marielle Heller is in negotiations to direct for Paramount.

“Kolma” is Described as a cross between a loftier, more mystical version of “The Notebook” and Albert Brooks‘ 1991 fantasy romance “Defending Your Life,” the project centers around the life of a young woman named Tamara, who survived a freak car accident that killed her boyfriend. Though she went on to marry another man and have 3 children, her death at 75 has left her at a crossroads. Once in the afterlife, the woman is given the choice to forget the memory of her life post-accident and be young again with her boyfriend, or choose to remain as she is and wait for her husband to join her. Abrams reportedly is producing “Kolma” with Ram Bergman, Sherryl Clark and David Lonner. Megan Holley (Sunshine Cleaning) has written the most recent draft of the script which had previously been scribed by Rolin Jones, Karen Moncrieff and Sarah Polley.

Paramount executive Elizabeth Raposo will oversee the project on behalf of the studio, while Lindsey Weber will oversee on behalf of Bad Robot.

Ridley is currently filming Star Wars: Episode VIII under the direction of Rian Johnson, and she’s expected to return for Colin Trevorrow‘s “Episode IX.” Recently, the actress has been rumored for the title role in a MGM’s “Tomb Raider” reboot.

In the meantime, Ridley and Abrams are hard at work on the Rian Johnson’s directed Star Wars Episode VIII.

What else could be better than having JJ helping Daisy not to be type-casted? Of course she’s very talented, but Abrams does a nice move with this.

I know. It’s a shame really as I was learning so much from her/him/it. I basically learned how not to be a twat. I mean I’m not a twat but I learned how not to be a mega twat.

Seriously? Look everyone, Daisy is really not that talented (just enough for Star Wars). She cannot (and will not) become an A-list actress like Jennifer Lawrence and anyone thinking so is just pipe dreaming. She’s been typecasted now and needs to remain that way so for those of you SW geeks thinking that she’s going to become a big actress, dial down your delusion meters because that’s not going to happen.

Besides, she’s too petite and she has A-cups (yes, I know I’m making an assumption here on that but come on, look at her and try to tell me otherwise). Maybe if she got breast enhancement surgery she will be more deserving of acting roles as that’ll make her more attractive but not with the way she looks currently

And *you’re* the one saying “Seriously?”

Streep was never all that attractive even in her youth and has never ever lacked for work since the 70’s.

1, Daisy is extremely talented. I don’t care what drugs you did when you watched TFA, but her performance was great.

      2. Like Snark said below, Meryll Streep became an A-list actress and she’s never even had an attractive face. At least Dais is pretty. As long as you’re pretty and white, your tits don’t matter. Don’t be so cynical.
