Force Friday II is a global celebration taking place over 3 days to commemorate the worldwide launch of new products inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Fans are invited to “Find the Force” by participating in a global augmented reality (AR) event mounted at 20,000 retail locations worldwide for Force Friday II weekend (Sept. 1-3). As fans turn up to take home new The Last Jedi products, they will have the opportunity to activate a unique augmented reality experience featuring Star Wars characters, including fan-favorites and new surprise additions from the film.
Toys based on Star Wars: The Last Jedi as well as classic Star Wars characters and Star Wars Rebels will be available at 12:01 a.m. on September 1st for Force Friday II. In addition to the product being revealed on Force Friday II, new products will continue to be released throughout 2017 and into 2018 as new information about the movie, the plot, and the characters are revealed.

Sooooooo…. I get to my local Wal-Mart last night and the lady is still opening the boxes and setting up the displays at midnight so I do some more shopping while I wait only to return to find they have like a quarter of the expected releases. Only one 3.75″ figure of Kylo Ren, they had freaking 40 of those and nothing else. No Rey, No Luke No Nothing. First World problems I know but WTF? The lady said “That’s all they sent” but I get a “I’m ready to get out of here” vibe from her. All they sent my ass.
All I could get that was remotely interesting was the 6″ Luke. He cam with nothing, no saber no nothing. Weak AF.
Honestly, I am only interested in movies, I never understood why people spend a lot of money on toys (who are not kids).
Man I just wanted Luke and Rey. The first Luke action figure since ROTJ and he’s got no freaking saber? WTF? Trying to stay positive with this whole saberless Luke in exile thing but it ain’t easy.
Exactly, you got the 3.75 figures for the kids and the 6 inch black series for dad. My wife and I have a whole bunch of them on a set of shelves. We must have 40 – 50 black series figures because we like how they look and like how they make nice decorations. I remember my mother collected bells and Hummels (German porcelain figures). Everybody is a geek in their own way.
Very sad for those interested in the PT era…
Because some people enjoy collecting things. Others like something tangible from the movies to accent their homes or work spaces. It’s no different, really, from someone decorating their garage with automotive memorabilia or someone displaying a helmet, ball, or bobble-head from their favorite sports team. Lots of people do this type of thing, dude.
And the definition of “toy” has become pretty fuzzy over the last couple of decades. While some toys are clearly marketed toward children, there are slews of items that are definitely geared toward the adult demographic.
Do some people spend a lot of money on this stuff? Sure. I’ve bought some pretty expensive pieces over the years. A buddy of mine dropped 5k on a screen-used movie prop several years ago. He was ridiculed (good-naturedly) by a coworker who spent 12k on his set of golf clubs. He thought we were nuts. We thought he was nuts. It’s all relative really.
And my buddy sold that movie prop last year for nearly 15k. So…
I keep forgetting that they made movies to go with these action figures.

Are the Shadow Guard’s still canon or just legends?
Ledgends. According to Wookiepedia they have not reappeared in any cannon material.
I’ve noticed checking online catalogs that quite a lot of this stuff isn’t available in the uk, and those that are cost a lot more in £ than in $. 25-40% more in £, which accounting for exchange rates means up to double the price in some instances. It’d probably be cheaper for me to order from US and pay the import tax/postage on a big order.
That said, I think there’s only a couple things I’d want out of this lot anyway- Luke, Rose, Paige. The Poe, Finn, Kylo & Rey figures aren’t different enough from the old versions to make it worthwhile and I’m running out of room to store bigger boxed models which then never see the light of day again!
Has anyone seen any new Titanium Series vehicles? Have they been discontinued? Really wanted to pick up the Tie Silencer and the Hot Wheels version doesn’t look that good.
