‘Star Wars’ Celebration Japan Tickets Go On Sale May 2, Key Art Revealed

Lucasfilm is already counting down the days for Star Wars Celebration 2025, and soon, so will we. Today, in addition to revealing the (beautiful) key art of the event, they have announced that tickets will go on sale on May 2 at 7pm US Eastern / May 3 at 8am Japan time / midnight BST.

That will be when most of the attending public will be able to purchase their ticket. However, for the first time, they will be putting up a limited number of tickets for 2023 VIP holders; those will go live on May 1 at 12:00 pm ET. VIP tickets will be available both during the pre-sale and the general on-sale.

From StarWars.com, here is the description of the key art, featured below (the artist name hasn’t been revealed yet):

“The key art has been created in the traditional Japanese black ink painting style known as sumi-e, with Darth Vader placed in the foreground. Brush strokes extend from the Sith Lord to the branches of a cherry blossom tree, leading to AT-ATs, X-wings, and TIE fighters. The Rising Sun of the Japanese flag balances the image, with Mount Fuji featured in its center.”

Star Wars Celebration Japan will take place April 18-20, 2025, at the Makuhari Messe. Check out the teaser here:

However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as movies from Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
